I love Chobani 0%. I usually eat the Peach, Strawberry, Raspberry and Black Cherry. I usually stock up on them when they are on sale for $1 a cup. The sugar content is high but the protein content is good. Some of the greek yogurts aren't really that. The manufacturer uses thickening agents in it and it isn't really…

Congrats! You are doing great! I had sleeve surgery 6/11/12. I lost 47 pounds post op from 2/12 to 6/11/12 and have since lost 91 post op for a total lost of 138 pounds. I love my sleeve and don't regret the decision of having WLS. I went from a size 24 jeans to wearing a size 6 Levis today!

I have a desk job but am able to get up and move around through the day. I always print to another printer in another office so I have to get up and go get it. I also try to do squats through out the day. I walk a couple miles before work at 5:30am to walking dvd at home and then try to walk another mile or two on my lunch…

I had the same issue! I still have a hard time looking for small and medium tops and not heading the plus size section at stores. I am so lost in the "regular" sizes in the stores. LOL! It is a great feeling though! Congrats!

Yep same here. Last summer after my sleeve surgery (6/11/12) it was like over 100 degrees out and I never even broke a sweat! So different than how I used to be. Less insulation is what we all have now! I am looking forward to summer and not sweating alot this year. I still do sweat when I work out and get my heart rate up…

I am bouncing around 132-134 every other day it seems. My personal weight goal is 130 but at this point I don't know if my body has "set point" at around 135. I will be 10 months post op from sleeve on 4/11/13. So, I guess I would still like to get to 130 for my 5'4" height and then maintain that. I want to continue to…

I do the 2 mile in 30 minutes walk at home every morning at 5:30am M-F. I don't know how accurate the actual mileage is cause my fitbit one never counts it as 2 miles even I just do walking the entire time. I can't get my heart rate up to my target amount anymore doing them since I have lost 138 pounds but I still do it…

Is this using additional weight or just using your own body weight? Just saw this post. Will try it but might start out with less reps due to a bad knee I have. Thanks!

It's hard not to compare to others who had the sleeve but don't. Everyone looses at a different rate. Make sure you are getting at leat 80 grams of protein in a day and at least 80 oz of water in a day. That really helps. Exercising for only 30 minutes helps alot too. Just walking helps. You are doing great. Everyone has…

I am only 10 months post op from sleeve surgery but it is nice to read that you are 3 years out and maintaining. I appreciate you posting and those are further out posting their experiences. I think the toughest part is after you loose it, then maintaining it. The sleeve isn't a magic wand but a tool. If a person hasn't…

I am almost 10 months post op from sleeve (had sleeve surgery 6/11/12) and currently eat around 1200 cals a day. Sometimes it is less and sometimes I do go over a bit, but I usually have 300-400 cals burned off in exercise cals that I don't usually eat back. I try to get 80-100 grams of protein in a day and 80-112 oz of…

Well, I didn't make my goal of 130 by 4/1/13. I ws 132 last Sunday but this week was more like 135 then yesterday/today 133.4 so I don't know what's going on! I keep loosing and gaining a couple pounds it seems since I hit 135. Maybe my body is at it's set point weight goal? If I don't get to 130 I am fine with it. I would…

I kinda look at it this way. This is a lifestyle change. If there is a food I want to eat, I am going to eat it but just a small amount. I am almost 10 months post op from sleeve. I am thankful that I can only eat a small amount due to my sleeve. I would rather eat what I am wanting than eat other things and not be…

Congrats! Great NSV! I still am amazed when I go shopping for clothes. I was at Kohls Saturday since I had 2 $10 off coupons on anything and didn't want to not use them. Found some vneck tshirts for this summer. Looked at the Med and thought those will be too tight. Tried them on and they fit and are kinda loose! I still…

Everyone goes through a stall at around 2-3 weeks after WLS. You will start loosing again. You might wanna up your water intake. My WLS program makes us get in at least 80 oz of water a day and about 80 grams of protein a day. It can be hard at first to get that much in right after surgery but it really does help the…

I pack things with me to eat like protein shake powder for my breakfast and bring my shaker bottle with me. If I have to eat out I will focus on protein first and eat that and then a small amount of other things. I don't eat desserts. I try to pick up Chobani Greek yogurt 0% to have on hand as a snack if I don't bring it…

Please try to get those fluids down. If you don't you will get dehydrated. I know cause it happened to me on more than one occasion and I had to get iv fluids done at the infusion center at the hospital 5 different times. I had to get 80 oz of liquids in before they would even release me from the hospital and ended up…

I had VGS surgery on 6/11/12. At 1 1/2 weeks out I was still on liquids, didn't start soft protein foods till 2 weeks out and then was only able to eat 1/4 cup at the most. At 9 months out I can eat around 1/2 cup of food and about anything at this point. Good luck!

Didn't have lap band but had gastric sleeve WLS done 6/11/12 and log in daily. Yes it is only a tool. I've lost 1/2 of me, started at 270 on 2/1/12 and lost 47 pounds pre op and then have lost 88 pounds post op. Total lost 135! My personal goal is 130 for my 5'4" height. Friend me if you like.
