Saving for later. Thanks

Sure, both these 'events' occur as you get older. But they're actually not connected at all. Lack of water will affect your skin and it will become less supple, but the lean body mass loss and body fat increase is due purely to a change in hormones.

Hi there My name is Caz, I'm 54 and I live on the south coast of England just 2 minutes walk from the beach. I've been calorie counting and exercising since 2007 and have dropped 5 dress sizes in that time. However, the final 10 pounds remain stubborn to go, so I'm doing everything possible to "surprise" my body into…

How weird...l have never heard of this solution before until today, when two colleagues mentioned how well this works.

To read later - really interesting stuff

6" Italian hearty bread with turkey and ham with all the veggies and no dressing. No cookie. 280 cals. BOOM!!!!!! It's a learning curve - we've all been there :blushing:

If only I could buy this in Bournemouth..........all the local stockists stopped selling it earlier this year for some unknown reason and its REALLY annoying as I haven't had the chance to even try it yet.

Two for me this week  First was at Bootcamp when a fellow member remarked on how much I had lost weight in the 9 weeks I've been going. Second was when my Bootcamp trainer thought I was 47. (I'm 54!) Go me!!!

Oh thank GOD for that..... Thanks for posting!

It definitely can be done. I started my new healthy regime when I was 49. I'm 54 now. I've lost 71 pounds (63 before I joined MFP in January this year) and dropped from a uk size 22 to a uk size 12. I'm living proof that it's slower at this age - but I'm fitter, heather, slimmer and people tell me I look 10 years younger.…

Thank you!! Xx

After losing nearly 63 pounds on a VLCD I hit a plateau that has lasted 12 months. I have another 10-16 pounds to go although I am wearing UK size 12 tops and uk size 14 bottoms. At pre-diet size I was size 22. I wore my HRM all day yesterday from 7am to 10pm and it was a typical day where I excluded my exercise to find my…

I so feel for you....I was feeling like this on just 1500 NET per day....goodness only knows how I would cope on 2,300 per day whether I exercised or not. I know this regime is logical and makes total sense. But given the sheer number of members to this group, I would be happier to read hundreds of success stories of…

Hold your fingers over it firmly and cough. Does anything rise up like a bump?

It's a question of time. I was easily coping on 800-1000 calories per day and dropped five dress sizes. But the longer I kept to this regime, the slower my weightloss became. Other members (it was on another weightloss site) were losing faster than me and they all seemed to "cheat" whereas I always kept to 1200 per day and…

Hi. I'm from Bournemouth, Dorset. Please feel free to add me.

We have a beautiful Westie called Foggy :-) He's 14 this year and our son was exactly this age when he named him after Carl Fogharty, the motorbike racer. Most people think he's called Foggy because of his white coat!
-
I'm so very sorry. He's been there for you throughout his life and I really feel for you. You are doing the right thing - you cannot allow him to stay in so much pain. We have a Westie who will be 14 this year and we are dreading this time. All my thoughts and positivity to you.

Thanks Mike - and others - rookie error by entering my kilos into pounds section. 1961 cals per day including exercise and to make sure on heavy exercise days to never dip below my BMR. I'm ready....I think!

Oh and my exercise is: 5-6 days per week of power waking, running and doing 1 hour boot camp per week

Easy. I hated Greek yoghurt too. And then I discovered if you add a teaspoon of honey (runny kind, like orange blossom) it changes the taste completely. Add to fresh fruit or no sugar muesli - you'll soon be hooked :-)

LIke it! Go for it!!

Hi there. I'm from Bournemouth. Add me as a friend if you like. It's nice to keep in touch :-)

Thanks for this - I shall try and increase slowly and remain patient!

And I would still stick to my 5-6 hours of exercise per week? 2,300 sounds an enormous amount of calories. But I guess in reality, I'm almost there if I don't eat back my exercise calories but just focus on eating (not netting) my TDEE minus 10%. But this is so scary after so many years of starving myself. Thanks for the…
