Howie, great job getting back on track!
-
Jen, that's no problem. You do what you need to!
-
I actually went ahead and paid the subscription. It's daily, so I'll have a daily prod to be good! Thanks for the help!

For all of the Whole 30 folks: When is your official start? I'm making mine Jan 2, which will give me New Years day to make 1 more mistake, lol. I'll start Jen's Jaunt tomorrow, though.
-
Kris, how did you sign up for just the email? Everything I click has a payment info section.

Kris, have you tried the Greek dressing I posted? It's my favorite. That's the one you see there in the OXO and vodka jug. Everyone be careful out there, tonight. I'll be attending a party, but I probably won't be drinking, since I won't want to sleep over.

Kris, here's the link. Use that link to support the Network! http://amzn.to/1txotPg Oh, and I forgot to mention, I ate regular ranch at my mom's house on Christmas, and it was horrible! She always buys Hidden Valley, which is the only one I'll eat, and it just tasted bad. Like I was gaining pounds from just a little dip of…

Kris, I hated that drip, that's why I got these. Plus, I wanted something that closed more securely and was bigger than most of the cruets you see. We bought one of those kits JUST for the bottle, and the dang thing didn't even have a lid! These have the little pour spout, so it shouldn't drip much. Plus, it's 12 oz,…

Yea, I know it's hard. I know it will be challenging, we can all get it done! I got my good, homemade dressing ready to go! I also got a couple of new, awesome dressing bottles. I've been using hot sauce bottles, but these OXOs are really nice.

Carol, I'm listening to John's episode, and something you said reminded me of two of the things on the Whole 30 rules. The first thing I thought of was: You never, ever, ever have to eat anything you don’t want to eat. You’re all big boys and girls. Toughen up. Learn to say no (or make your mom proud and say, “No, thank…

Yes it is, Arturo! New year, new goals!

Thanks, Kris!

John, I've never really tried to do a specific interval, but I have cranked up the speed on the treadmill a few times, just to see. It was like a steady jog, and it didn't seem to kill me like full on running. I still wouldn't want to do it too regularly, but maybe after I get back up and moving, it'll get easier. Heron,…

Jen, if you're posting a pic of EACH step, you shouldn't be freaking out about the 100 post mark because you'll very soon surpass the 1000s! Kim, it probably will be a bit overwhelming, but not much more so than this Dec checkin thread. I think it'll be a good thing.

John, they're a nuisance animal here, too. But there seems to be a lot of weird details that I'm not sure how to work out. They'll actually pay you 5 buck per tail of nutria, but you have to get permits and maps/routes, so I've just never pursued it. Carol, that's a good plan. We'll just do the normal weekly…

I like the idea of the single thread, but I'll warn you, I plan on being super annoying and posting a pic of everything I eat, lol.

John, I don't actually run, unless I'm being chased or chasing something! I have asthma that only really acts up when I try to run. Because of this, I can walk a mile faster then I can run one. When I "ran" a mile last, it took me around 18 minutes, but I can consistently walk one at around 14 minutes, because I don't get…

We still have so many freaking treats! I can't wait for January!

Okay, I drove it today and watched my odometer. It was exactly 1/2 mi from the start of the subdivision, around the cul-de-sac, and back to my driveway, so 2 laps will do it. Kris, I actually walk a mile faster than I can run it! In high school, I "ran" a mile in 18 minutes. Now I walk one in about 14. I have asthma that…

Heron, I've never been hog hunting. I've only actually ever been squirrel hunting 3 times and only got 1 squirrel. They are a big problem. They're a huge problem in Texas. I would really like to go hunting for them, but I just don't really know what to do. Kim, I don't know any Walls. I do have a similar situation, though.…

Now that you mention it, I think a lot of people raise goats for meat, around here. Alligator meat is awesome! I've only had it a few times, but it's great every time. I don't know if they do it everywhere, but cajuns will cook darn near anything. I had my first turkey heart on Christmas eve. That was definitely very good.

Well, I went to walk the neighborhood next to my house to see how long it was. My Endomondo app wouldn't connect to the GPS, so I didn't get an actual distance. But, I timed it right at 7.5 minutes. My usual pace is 14-15 a minute mile, so I'd go ahead and say it's pretty close to .5 mi. I took the little dog we found on…

I guess my first short-term goal would have to be in my profile picture. That's me an my dad. I was down to 185 in that picture, but I've gained about 20 back and hover around 203-206.

That really is a ton of meat, Heron. I got excited, because I saw a sign for a company called Louisiana Boucherie. I'm fairly certain that a boucherie is a Cajun event of splitting a cow (like a cow share), but when I looked them up, they're just a local "mobile meat market" type thing. You know, the guys that walk up to…

Okay, I just walked the neighborhood next to us. The Endomondo app wouldn't connect to the GPS, for some reason, but I timed it at 7.5 minutes. My usual pace is right at a 14-15 minute mile, so two laps around the neighborhood should be 1mi.

My goals would have to be: Buy a new belt. I bought this belt intentionally too small. The hole I used at the time was as large as the belt could go. Now, I'm on the 5th hole, with only 2 more to go. Hopefully this one will be too big by the end of January! (the holes are .75" apart, rather than 1", BTW) Get into the habit…

Hey everyone. Carol called me out for not checking in yesterday, so here I am! I posted in a few other threads, so I really just forgot to post here! Yesterday, I fried my first turkey. It was delicious and everyone liked it. We also had about 20 different desserts throughout the day, so I didn't do so great, but screw it,…

Kim - Wow, that's such a little thing to derail someone! I will NOT be her! I plan to sit down with each of the recipes an write out a shopping list for the whole month, so I can go shopping each Friday, So I don't forget anything. If it's there, No Excuses! A lot of the recipes I wrote down are mostly simple to make, so…

I think I'll join in on this one, too. There's a neighborhood 2 houses down that I could walk in. I may go give it a walk tomorrow, just to see how long it is. (and walk off all of today's treats!) I've got the Endomondo app, but I've just never used it. I work in a mall that was converted to an office center, and walked…
