I've tracked for years and never experienced this. odd. I'm guessing this must be a big issue. hopefully no data will be lost and they will be back up soon.

same problem with the app. I'm premium too.

\ you've encouraged me to try the video. i've had it for months. i still teach my zumba classes but i haven't been doing much toning so i should get to it. i'm 22 weeks today and at my dr appt tues the dr said i'd only gained 10 lbs. i really hope i can keep my weight gain during the pregnancy to a decent amount.

as you know, i have the exact same problem. the 5 week weight does vary depending on my calories and exercise but i never hit it!! i'm experimenting with eating more calories. i typically go over one day a week. i'll see if this helps me. also trying to be more diligent on my water. i'll be checking here to see what others…

thank you!! yes i use a hrm. i find the mfp over estimates MY burn for activities like cycle and zumba but underestimates my dog walking, etc. i love wearing my hrm and getting an accurate burn for me. you know i think you're right that maybe i could stand to do a little heavier lifting even a few times a week. i used to…

Interesting. I'm a fitness instructor with a major national chain. I teach a Cycling class a week and also teach and attend Zumba twice a week or so. I love both. I burn lots of calories. I walk at a moderate pace my two little cairn terriers most days a week. For lifting I don't have a day where I really lift heavy. I…

we are very similar!! i'm a long time logger, almost 250 days here but before that i did it for years on a paper journal. i'm 5'9" but have the same weight goal as you. i'm in the 160's though. i can't get it to get back in the 150's. i almost always come in under my calories but that's with eating only some of my exercise…

i think this is my problem. i haven't lost weight in months. maybe i'm not eating enough. i'm a fitness instructor and i walk my dogs most days of the week so i can burn 700+ calories several days a week. mfp has me set at 1350. i'm a carb type and don't eat beef, chicken or pork, only seafood. maybe my body is in…

trying friday and monday mornings. have weighed myself more and less. i think twice a week feel s okay for now.

interesting to see this feedback. as an instructor i don't care to teach les mills. it's too regimented and doesn't change. you can't introduce variety except for using other les mills releases. i liked to be able to change up my workouts a bit each week still keeping to the same core workouts and the members have given me…

i'd like to know more about this too. i guess i'll google but if there's any good articles please link them here. thanks!

i'm 5'9 i started at 174.6. i'm stuck in the mid to low 160's (depending on the day). i have a thought of being 148 but would be happy at 150.

so much variety in the responses!

great thread!! i'm 5'9". i've been weighing in at 165 lbs the last few days and go between 162-165 lbs. i started at 176 lbs in february. i am not even really sure what my ideal weight would be. i'm thinking 150 lbs would be good. i'm going without dessert and really watching dairy and gluten to see if i can get the scale…

i use a polar hrm. i feel like it's pretty accurate. i'm also a part time fitness instructor so i generally know the range of calorie burn given my level of effort and my calorie burn is in line with that. the machines and what mfp suggest are higher than what my hrm tells me i've burned so i don't go by those at all. i…

i came here to see what people were doing and to get ideas. it's been a helpful thread. i was weighing whenever i felt like it but when i keep seeing mfp say what i would weigh in 5 weeks and i'm not getting there. honestly i dread the scale because it isn't predictably going down and i hate to see even a 1 lb increase. i…

i'd like to get down to a 25 or 26. i'm currently at 27.8. i'm 5'9"

i'm with you, i'm burning a good amount of calories several times a week teaching strength and bootcamp classes and taking zumba but my weight isn't moving to those numbers that show on my "if every day were like today you'd weight <> in 5 weeks". i had a goal of losing 2 lbs a week but changed it to 1 lb which gave me an…

another book you might want to check out is The pH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health by Robert O. Young and Shelley Redford Young. even if you decide not to adopt the strict diet it will help you understand how foods impact the acidity in your body which is related to yeast.
-
rainbow light has a supplement called 'candida cleanse'. i think it's helpful. i buy it from the vitamin shoppe. i do think yeast in the body can take awhile to clear and is tricky. you have to stick with it! good luck.

i'm going to join in doing these. i like her workouts because they aren't super long. go team!

my calves killed me doing insanity but it is good cardio. i haven't ever finished it. 6 days was a lot for me since i'm a fitness instructor and teach other classes. if i decide to try it again i'm going to do it at a modified pace for me. there are good moves you learn to incorporate into your normal workout too so that's…

i would suggest a heart rate monitor. sometimes we think we're burning more than we are and when we aren't we can up the intensity. another thing, do you like insanity? it's a great workout no doubt but i only sort of enjoyed it. when i started going to a good zumba class and loving the energy in the room, the music and…

great job and good idea to do it in chunks! i look forward to more success!

i had a polar a5 for almost 10 years. i just bought a polar ft4. if you go to the site you can compare features based on what's important to you. you can then buy on amazon or using a coupon from the big sports stores.

wow, i'm sorry that happened to you. they should have asked you to stop and not kicked you out if there was a question about what was going on. don't give up your gym membership if you feel like it's valuable to you. the gym is a great place and don't let one rotten apple spoil it. hopefully you can come to an amicable…

i have an older model polar that i love. also, polar syncs with a lot of cardio equipment at many of the gyms. so you can see on display your heart rate without looking at your wrist. they are accurate.
-
they have waist belts to help you when you're working out. they serve the same purpose. you just reminded me to wear mine! i've heard of wrapping the tummy in saran wrap and applying castor oil to the belly before wrapping to take out the toxins while you sleep.

i'm a fitness instructor and i just went to a hiit class for my continuing education class through a nationally certified organization. much of what we learned has been stated in this thread but a few key points: - hiit can be done with almost any piece of equipment or just your body and drills - it's about getting to 75%…

i think yes it's an acquired taste, not unlike red wine or kombucha. either you like it or you don't. the good thing with green tea is there are lots of flavors out there and you can do hot or cold, hot is better and of course without sugar/sweeteners is better. i love green tea. i probably love it more because i know the…
