  • I am doing well. 30 weeks tomorrow and dang has my belly popped! Sleeping isn't too bad so far, only up about once a night. I'm working as long as I can, my due date is August 19 so I'm hoping to work that far and have baby girl that weekend. With my first daughter I was at work when contractions started and…
  • 24 weeks here and feeling good! Eating is good some days and not so good others, I just try my best. For name I think we're going with Emerson Anne  Who knows, very well may change by the time August gets here.
  • I graze all day long since big meals never seem to agree with me this pregnancy. Found out a couple weeks ago we will be welcoming baby girl #2. Now to decide on a name...
  • I'm 15 weeks and the belly has popped here too. Told work last week when I noticed my pants were struggling to button. haha. So far no weight gain but I am overweight so hoping to keep it 25 lbs or less.
  • Doing good here! Same weight but definitely starting to show, my pants are getting tight in the belly. I am not ready for maternity clothes! Anyone do the verify by Progeny blood test (for chromosome disorders and gender)? I get my results the 9th, a little nervous but also excited.
  • I am due August 18th with my second! With my first I gained 80 lbs, this time around I want to keep it to 35 or less. Healthy eating and working out are goals.
  • Granted but your accountant will eventually steal your earnings, leaving you broke. I wish I could read a book as fast as Johnny #5 in Short Circuit.
  • Mechanical Engineer - Currently working on heavy truck (semi) bearings
  • I think I'm about 5 weeks, maybe 6 with our second child. Got pregnant immediately after going off of birth control and I don't go to the doctor until August 13 so won't know anything until then. Looking for healthy weight gain this time around, not 80 like with my daughter! Would love all the pregnant friends I can have :)
  • I was very active in high school with sports and extra activities, so I was heavier than the average female but in pretty good shape. Fast forward to the end of my freshman year of college, I came home and my grandma made a comment, and I know she didn't mean it to be hurtful, but she said "You've lost some muscle and…
  • Have you tried Syntrax Nectar series? I can mix with water and drink them or make different tasting drinks. My personal favorite is fuzzy naval mix, with ice and orange juice, but they're all good. I'm not sure about gluten-free though, you'd have to look more into that.
  • Definitely do NROLFW! The workouts are not long, only 3x a week, and start you out on the basics. I absolutely loved the program, finished it right before I got pregnant and cannot wait to get back to heavy lifting once I have my daughter. Another perk I found was that my running pace improved without trying. I seen the…
  • September 12 here!
  • Oh this is a good thread! Where to begin though??? First my in-laws, specifically my MIL. We had just told her we were pregnant and she starts gabbing about the baby shower, I was 6 or 7 weeks! Then, she informs me that she will be inviting her whole family, approx 130 people, since I've never met them! (Hubby and I didn't…
  • I also plan on walking for the first 6 weeks. After that I plan on C25k and NROLFW on alternating days with 1 rest day a week. Both of those are fairly short programs that I think I can complete while baby is napping. Calories all depend on if breastfeeding is successful or not, I'm hoping it is as this in my first child.
  • Often I do a big thing of crockpot oatmeal. I'll cook it all night Sunday and have it Monday morning. Then I package it into single servings and warm it up in the microwave every morning the rest of the week with a touch of milk. Here is a recipe for one of my favorites - her cherry almond is really good too!…
  • I did the first month of Insanity then stopped due to finding out I'm pregnant :), i absolutely loved it! It kicks your butt, doesn't take a ton of time out of your day, and even though the weight loss isn't huge, the inch loss is. I had great results in just that short amount of time.
  • Due September 14th here with our first. Hubby and I are so excited! Any other first timers out there that have been looking at baby stuff and completely overwhelmed with everything??
  • If we have a girl it will be be Arabella JoAnne, Boy will be Donald Ralph IV
  • My fitness plans include taking my dogs for walks in a local park and letting them play in the snow, and perhaps a run or two. On top of that I want to try a new soup recipe. Sunday is rest before the work week hits again and watching football.
  • Hubby got me rowing machine, SIL got me push-up grips, brother got me a pressure cooker, and dad got me a new food processor! Soo excited to use them all!
  • Carrot Banana Muffins 2 cups almond flour 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp sea salt 1 Tbl cinnamon 1 cup dates, pitted 3 ripe bananas 3 eggs 1 tsp apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted 1 1/2 cups carrots, shredded 3/4 cup walnuts (or nuts of choice), finely chopped muffin liners 1. Preheat oven to 350 F 2. In a large…
  • Don't let him get your down, he's just jealous of your motivation to be healthy! Keep up the great work
  • Personally I don't like the body fortress and all protein bars I've tried taste like cardboard. My personal favorite is Syntrax Nectars. They have a ton of different flavors, such as caribbean cooler, ice tea, lemonade. They're not your typical chocolate, vanilla, strawberry (they have those too tho). I think the best…
  • I get tired of the "You're so lucky you don't have kids, you have all the time in the world to workout and cook healthy food, etc...". Really?!? What you don't know is I've lost weight because my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant and couldn't due to my weight! I don't understand how people can blame not…
  • My hubby and I went out for his birthday and I had bought a really cute dress to wear. I was so excited, and then I looked in the mirror, I couldn't believe how bad I looked, the next day I started.
  • My husband also sabotages me. I'm down a total of 30lbs so far and have between 10-15 to go. The loss has slowed so yes I've gotten frustrated but still, as another poster said, 1-2 lbs a month is better than starting over. Anyway, last night I was making a pork loin and green beans for dinner, as soon as I put it in the…
  • Sounds like what I just had. Take a rest day! I tried to push through and get some weights and a small walk in the other day. I woke up feeling 10 times worse than I did the day before. Rest and feel better or you'll be sick a lot longer than you want to be and trust me, that crappy little workout was not worth it.
  • Bump for later...Winter weather coming means lots of soup for lunch!
