  • Don't take a break. If you think drinking alcohol is a must while you're out there, shoot for zero carb versions. My push for you to keep going with this is because of your depression. People are in the middle of doing some very interesting studies about depression being caused by inflammation and what may be leading to…
  • n = 15 Why do these studies even get published?
  • You've already said this multiple times, pretty much everyone has said it. I think the important thing is to find something you enjoy. Keep the body moving. Take care of ourselves through movement and diet. There might come a time when being "cut" is my thing, I'm not there right now. I thoroughly enjoy Body Pump and Spin…

  • I'm someone that benefits from hearing that I don't need to be a jogger. I know this may be hard to believe but I've lived my entire life being told that I make excuses for not running and everyone is a runner I just have to try harder. I've had times in my life where my failure to be a runner has me convinced that I have…
  • Try it with regular strength coffee. You won't even taste the coffee.
  • I'm realizing that even on Keto I'm still crazy good aggressive. The feeling was strong when I read someone ate your food. I got all "they must die!" When it comes to food I have the mentality of "two eyes and a leg for an eye." A sick desire for retribution. Anyway, I sincerely hope you don't have to go off plan until…

  • You're not wrong. I think this lacks more tact than pretty much anything anyone else said, but you're not wrong. At least about the first part. I should have been more honest and less lazy about my response. Or maybe I should have been more lazy. I don't eat quest bars and for the most part I avoid foods with fake sugar. I…
  • From someone that brought this topic up last week - all it takes apparently is to talk to the group about it. Once you open up, admit your inability to *kitten* and just become honest with yourself and the low carb group, then you will be allowed to poop. It's as though the group determines whether you're allowed to poop.…
  • I like this. Congratulations on 24 years! That's admirable. Well done.
  • No I don't eat them. When I first tried this WOE people would recommend packaged foods. I avoided it for awhile but then decided I should try them. Next thing I know I'm eating only Atkins bars and protein shakes. This time around I bought a few sugar free fake foods. I've maybe used them 5 times in 5 months. Real food,…
  • I think I'll retry this someday when I have an espresso maker. As it stands, the drink just doesn't have enough of a coffee flavor for me. Getting to drink coffee in the morning is enough of a treat for me. I also found that it isn't keeping me fuller any longer than without the egg. But maybe espresso will be strong…
  • I love the guacamole from Chipotle. Thank you for posting the link. I've been meaning to google it ever since I heard the news.
  • Did you put the salt in?
  • Thank you everyone for the crappy advice. Wait, not what I mean. For real though, thank you. I'm going to give it a bit on this no cheese situation and see if that helps. If obesity doesn't kill me, I'm certain not eating cheese will. I just spent two months finding a food truck that will make cheese curds specifically for…

  • Yup. I go through spurts. Good to know it is vitamin C and not potassium.

  • Just reading that after I hit post. Good thing some of you are my "friends" or you would be convinced I am a troll.

  • This is interesting and will ease my mind a bit. Alright, this is what I mean by bloated. Sorry if it's too graphic. I have never been backed up in my life until being on this diet. When I say "bloated" I don't mean my jeans fit a little tighter. I mean, I am full. My ovaries will take turns hurting. Somedays it's so bad I…

  • No to the added fiber supplements. I've considered it though. I bought some psyllium husk last night but couldn't bring myself to consume the glass full of water. I am seriously willing to try anything... until I have to consume it haha. I came to you guys because my fear is that I'll try a bunch of different things and…

  • Also, what can I say? I love to poop :#
in Gut Stuff Comment by m_puppy May 2015
  • Hahaha I'm good with only pooping twice a week but I'm not good feeling bloated. It's not 100% of the time and it's not nearly as bad as before. My concern is more along the lines of actual gut health.

  • I do that, too. That is what I thought the issue was but when I tracked I realized on bad days I get 80 ounces.

  • I have been eating dairy. Yesterday was my first day dairy free. Hopefully that helps with some of it. My typical day though was 70-80% fat. Yesterday, a mainly meat day, I sucked at getting fat. Today I'll try to add in some fat bombs and eggs. I also eat cauliflower, Brussels sprout, asparagus or broccoli but only a…

  • Me too! Screw the second breast. I just want the skin.
  • Geez that's nice! Day 1: 161 Day 2: 161
  • Sometimes yes and sometimes no. If I wasn't so lazy err I mean busy (that's what Americans call it now) I would track everything and then create a graph. Who knows, maybe I'm closer to what they say than I think. But some days, when I know I've eaten <5 carbs, I don't track the meat binges.
  • Also I've made some pretty good roasted chickens that are sooo much better than rotisserie. It's easy to just pop it into the oven. Then you can get a bigger bird to feed the fam. Oh oh and also good job on day 1!
  • We had rotisserie chicken last night. I love that you all manage to feed a whole family on one chicken. Know what I did? I stood over that thing and ate it with my bare hands while my fiancé prepped meat for tonight. Honestly, it makes me feel like I'm on The Walking Dead when I don't get home until 8 from work and I stand…
  • Have you heard from him? Here's the thing. When you type this out it sounds dramatic. I remember a few times I have freaked out over what appeared to others as nothing. A skipped "good morning" text even though I had received one every day, a trip that wasn't mentioned until the last minute, etc. I knew in my gut. Women…
  • You're the same amount of crazy as every other human. We all take on our own form of crazy. I hope nothing I said was hurtful. Good luck!
