not too bad at all. 135lbs? good stuff! couple of things i see: hips coming up too fast (as has been mentioned :P ). you wanna get your hips a little lower at the start and use your legs more to initiate the lift. then use your glutes to finish it off. you'l know you are getting it all right when your start scraping your…

pantera, slayer, sepultura, metallica, megadeth. by goto artists for PB's. :p

wrote this a couple of weeks ago. started reading Arnie's biography. starting wanting to be bigger and more defined. :P when i return from Europe in july...i'm going to be incorporating a lot more hypertrophy focussed stuff, and god forbid some isolation work. :p cant beleive i just wrote that.

Went to the sydney soundwave yesterday. pretty epic. great to see 3 of the "big 4" METAL bands in one day !!! A perfect circle were very dissapointing, really not sure what the appeal is there. i was excited to see them given all the hype but was sorely let down. Nothing on Tool. just nothing. Every song was way too…

150kg (330lbs). more to come in the coming weeks at states.

+ 1 for bigger traps from deadlifts. probably my best parts are trap and lats. and i've never done any kind of isolation work ever. though i think I need some direct work for my biceps now...but ive been training for a lot longer than 3 months. ;)

29yo. 30 at the end of June. :) 6'0", 90.4kg Squat: 150kg Bench: 105kg Deadlift: 210kg Train almost exclusively for powerlifting, more seriously for the last 15 or so months. I compete and will do for a while i think. Also looking to get into strongman in the future. Most likely second half of year. most definately the…

also. pt's in my experience have nothing on S & C coaches.
-
yeah wtf right.
-
dont touch the fat burners please...just crap. wanna burn more fat? starting lifting some weights. :)
-
and i mentioned the lockout issue for the deadlift. you have to lock out the knees and hips
-
there was no pause. not sure if that was stipulated in the first post??? if not it doesnt matter. :) was only a red light from a sanctioned comp perspective. momentum must cease. then a press call is made...then you press. squat was indeed the doubletake at the bottom. once you start rising you cant go back. i dont think…
-
strong girl is strong! love it. red lights on the squat i think though, also bench. :p
-
mate awesome work. definate green white lights on the squat and bench. The deadlift was close...some fed's wouldnt pass it, but this is MFP!!! plus, some feds would, so it counts, haha. Just make sure you properly lock out. in a comp, you'll be told when you put it back on the ground is all. a few comments on the other…

im here!!! just in time eh. http://youtu.be/AuMesFOQY9s could have gotten more out of the deadlift. possibly bench too but was operating on 4 hours sleep. :p had not slept well all that week. farkin!! Probably gave away 2.5-5kg on bench and 10-15 on deadlift. :( 150kg/102.5kg/205kg for 457.5kg @ 90.8kg. 1008lbs total. so…

got my novice comp on sunday. vid's should follow shortly after.

cant help you re texture issues...but for protein...perhaps start making some shakes. you can add olive oil(or whatever) to them for your fats as you dont taste it. as for the veges...just farkin eat em. you will change.
-
yeah i dont worry too much about this either. i've had workouts start at 10pm...with work the next morning. be farked if i'm gunna put down an entire meal at midnight when im done. plus it's after 10pm... :P but before that workout through the day i will have hit my macro's sufficiently in prep for said workout. and like…

cant remember the brand of mine. :P but one tip, wrap em tight!!!
-
leg press is Not an alternative to squats. completely different. if one cannot squat for any reason then bulgarian split squats for that day is okay.
-
yeah they are good. actually good for some pulling movements... like pullups. :)
-
17 months. you are still learning. :) you are still very much a beginner. the guys already beat me to posting those same links. :p get in to it.
-
alot of forward lean there, but your back remains nuetral. a few things knees out! push em out on decent and keep them there. chest up!! you need to keep your torso more upright. "cranking" your elbows helps here. keep tight!! you are not getting or keeping tight when you begin. i can tell because you are jumping around…
-
In addition ilovedeadlifts advice, also try activating your shoulders and working on their mobility prior to squatting. I had this issue...couple months of this stuff and now I can jump under the bar cold.
-
Certainly can continue gaining strength while cutting!! There's a tonne of factors involved. Remembering that strength gains are never always muscular gains. :) but most often neurological. So a big factor would be how strong you are to begin with when you start your cut. If you aren't up to any intermediate standards I…

Yeah I'm in guys. I have a comp on the 27th January. :) Those lifts will be my entry.

easy... do you have any equipment? or access to any? best bet is to join a gym if not. not a ****ty commercialised gym though that these days seem to be missing all the good equipment... instead look for a smaller strength focussed gym(somewhere that trains powerlifter is what you really want). you'll find these places to…

can you eat small portions of meat? and just eat more meals per day? my wife is having a few gut problems. chicken doesnt seem to hurt her at all. even in portions as big as 200gm. also kangaroo if you can source it in your area. anything higher in fat seems to give her hell, lol. lean mince seems to be okay too.
