I'm sporadic on my logging of my sleep. You're good. No worries if you do or don't log it. Just for your own information. I usually only log mine if I'm feeling extra tired and thinking I may be more restless at night.

Definitely! I'm on my 2nd Fitbit. I had the original one and loved it. I have the FitBit Flex now and love it too. I have to play little games with myself to keep me moving and seeing my progress (or lack there of) throughout the day helps me to move or move more if need be.

Owned Labs and Huskies. Loved them both but Labs are the best all around dog in my humble opinion. I've also had an Irish Setter who was so lovable but we thankfully had enough room for her to run. Right now we have a Basset Hound and a Blood hound/Coon hound mix. They are the best of pals and they crack me up! Not…

I'm 5'9" and was an unhealthy 108 when I graduated. I'm 195 now and not at all interested in going back to my high school weight but would love to be around 140 to 150. I have trouble finding people who grew up with no weight problem but now struggle with weight. I could eat anything I wanted and not gain weight and now I…

Thanks a TON for ALL the info! This all really helps. I just now set up my MFP to track my sugar and...wow... yeah.. it was bad. :) I'm sure now that is why I seem stuck. Thanks again!

Thanks for your thoughts! That helps. I know it isn't realistic to cut it out entirely but maybe just being more aware of the amount will decrease that craving. I like the idea of adding the protein or fiber. :)

After some reading, I guess I'm referring to refined sugars. Maybe get to where the only sugars I get are from natural sources like fruits. Would honey then be considered a natural source?

I'm 5' 8" and would like to get down to 150. Started at 200. Feel free to add me and to anyone else who would like to add me.. :flowerforyou: And to you taller gals..(and guys)... I have also been told I "carry my weight well" but so did my mom and she is now close to 400 and having trouble walking. I never thought of her…

Thank you all for your opinions. I know that this is a life change and not a quick fix. I know she needs some counseling to go along with this and that it is not THE answer to solve everything. I've encouraged her to try weight watchers (she doesn't like being around people) and suggested online videos that show "chair…

Today I'm proud of myself for not binge eating over the weekend. Weekends are tough for me. As a result of staying on track all last week AND the weekend... I'm down 2 pounds! Good feeling!
-
First weigh in since starting this and I'm down 2 pounds! Off to a good start!:drinker:

I used to think the weight limit on bridge signs shown in tons was the same as pounds. I knew our family & car weighed more than that. I was just sure that we would die on a bridge.

I'm going to have to try those Saucony shoes too. I get tired of the same style and limited colors. Also, I didn't think about arthritis in those joints.

Love reading all the positive things on here!! I'm proud today that I have stuck with good eating for 3 days now. I'm usually not good with staying consistent. Feeling good and even more motivated to keep up the good food coming in!

I've had severe bunions on both feet for as long as I can remember. I had surgery on both feet when I was in 4th grade but it didn't help (recently a podiatrist said he didn't understand what that doctor was trying to do). Anyway, I have had severe pain in both feet off and on but still continue with my exercises. I have…

Day 2 and still on track which for me is an accomplishment. Exercised yesterday and have been staying within my calories. Have plans for my exercise when I get home. So far so good!!

I'm in too!

I'm 42 with about 50 pounds to lose and have also been looking for friends in their 40's. Anyone feel free to add me too!

Just made some last night. Put in a 13x9 baking dish, spray with olive oil, sprinkle with Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb, then sprinkle with parmesan. Bake in oven at 350 for about 20 mins. Super Yummy! I'm going to have to try some of these others too!

I don't know how to "quote" on here but thanks so much for the meal plan ideas. I have 2 daughters (14 & 11) that I'm trying to get to eat better too. Those ideas plus the chili idea will help me sneak some extra into their meals too. AND... bacon is so nice... love it with my green beans and the steam bags .... I forget…

Thanks so much for the great ideas! I do like to roast things like squash and asparagus in the oven but didn't think about trying other types of veggies. Also, really like V-8 and do need to get some more of that. I need to plan my meals before I go to the store, I guess, so I don't over buy. Thanks again all!!!…

I'm so thankful for this support group because it does help me realize that I'm not alone. However, I just can't seem to break these bad habits and last night was one of the worst that I've had in a long time. My supper alone was way over my daily calorie goal. I have so much trouble with my portions when I'm eating…

Thanks so much... this has been on my list of annoying things too! How about typing "prolly" instead of "probably"? I think people think "prolly" is the actual word.

I had the original fit bit and loved it so when the flex came out I upgraded to it. I love the convenience of it on my wrist but now want the force for the little "extras" it has. It is very easy to use and it helps me to stay on track with the goals that I've set for myself. I have to play little games with myself to stay…

It's so wonderful reading through all of these accomplishments. I'm finally coming to the realization that this is going to be a slow process and you all inspire me. Today I'm proud of myself for... saying "No" to the Dr Pepper for the 2nd day in a row. Big deal for this addict! LOL
-
Thanks! Good food for thought. I'm working on finding an alternative. I talk with a friend of mine yesterday and she told me to be sure & call her instead of calling for take out. :) I appreciate all your support!!!! :flowerforyou:

Today I'm proud of myself for not stopping at the quick stop for the Dr Pepper and Breakfast pizza that blows my whole day. I made breakfast burritos at home for me & my girls then had a crystal light with it. Sounds like an easy thing to not stop but it hasn't gotten to be such a habit that I go even when I'm not hunger.…

Great job in taking that step to come back for your health. I too have been back and forth on here and am trying to get myself back on track. YOU CAN DO THIS!!! I had deleted most of my previous supporters and am now looking to build that back up. I'll add you and would love to have any other support from you other…

02/05/14 Ugh! Me: 2 Binge: 3 No more... can't let going out to eat mess up my whole day!
