  • There are iphone apps for all of the 30 day challenges, I am on week 2 of the 30 day squat challenge, it adjusts the level depending on the number you can do to start off with, I am on level 3 as I managed 70 to start off with.
  • Any form of exercise in a thong is a no go for me! Tried running once in one and in the words of Mrs Brown " I was flossing me yangyang" Big comfortable knickers for me, who cares about panty line as i'm there to work out not on the pull.
  • I struggle with the thoughts rushing round my head and getting to sleep, I found an iphone app called sleeptime very useful as it plays soothing sounds which I can focus on and the thoughts stop or get pushed to the background and I drop off to sleep.
  • I was ok after day 1 but by day 3 was starying to feel sore, not major pain but knew I had worked, see how you feel after a few days as sometimes it can take a day or two before the muscles start to feel it. I think its called DOMS (delayed onset muscle stiffness/soreness) it can be 2 days after that you really notice it.
  • Im currently on day 6 of 30DS, I would consider myself quite fit, run 2-3 times per week 5-6 miles each time, completed half marathon end of last year and I work out at the gym twice a week. 30DS has tested muscles that I forgot I had and I am sweating after completing it, can't comment on results yet as not far enough in…
  • Try the intermintant fasting diet. You fast with only 500 calories for 2 days and the you can eat normally for 5 days. There was study done in the UK by a doctor and it worked for him, but I think you will need to moderate what you eat at weekends as it won't offset your binging at weekends.
  • Book a one off personal trainer appointment, get them to devise a plan for you to do for 6-8 weeks and then book another to change things up for you.
  • Have you tried any of the Davina McCall ones, she does a 20 or 30 minute work out series which is quite good if you can get over the annoying talking.
  • I suffered with shin splints when i incresaed my running last year, compression sleeves helped as did ice and rest. Try to get seen by a sport therapist who could check to make sure no underlying issue. Also look at your shoes. I got new running shoes after having problems with shins and calves, made a huge difference.
  • Herbalife is quite new to the UK but we have had similar in Lighterlife for many years. Try Googling the founder of Lighterlife and see what it has done for her.
  • I'm in, I started it 2 weeks ago and then life took over, I have a party to go to on 1st June so I hope to see a difference by then.
  • If you google seated exercises there should be a variety you can find. just remember every little helps.
  • Hi, you sound like my twin! I am also 5ft 2ins and only have a few lbs left to lose, 2 kids and an almost full time job. I have been trying to tone up for a while without much sucess, so I have decided to try the 30 day shred by Gillian Michaels, you can get it on YouTube or buy the DVD. I have done 4 days so far, cardio…
  • Most all inclusive will have salad as an option, try having that to start each meal so that you dont fill up on less healthy food, drink lots of water. Does your hotel have a gym? If not try swimming lots or going for lots of walks, my downfall is the alcohol, so try and alternate each alcoholic drink with water. Go enjoy…
  • Have a look at my profile picture, that is me at 126lbs, I am 5ft 2ins, not brave enough to take photos without clothes yet. I have started the 30 days shred this week so might feel more confident after that.
  • Runners world is a running magazine in the UK but you can get info from their website.
  • If you google couch to 5k that should bring up a variety of programmes to download, also look at Runners world they have lots of training plans to use. You could also trying to find a local running club, most cities have them so you can run with others and they can help you with a training plan.
  • I like you are petite, bit taller at 5ft 2ins but still quite small, most people don't comment on my height but do comment on my feet size at only 2/3 Uk size, which for an adult is quite small. It can get to you but some people just have to find something to comment on, looking at your photos you are in perfect…
  • Runkeeper for the IPhone, especiallythe latest version as it has workouts that you can follow as well.
  • A stone is 14lbs not 10lbs so 40lbs would be just over 3 stone
  • I haven't bought it as I want to be able to do it at the gym as well as at home so I have used YouTube
  • If you have a look at the post 30 day shred - starting april 15th you will find lots of us like you who have started this recently, I have just done day 3 level 1 so at about the same level as you, freind me and we can encourage each other.
  • It took about a stone before people started to notice with me and then nothing until I got closer to 3 stone lost, I still can't see a big difference but the scales, clothes and tape measure show there is a big difference. I would take measurements as well if I were you as sometimes you don't see a huge weight loss but…
  • What is your fitness regime? I am similar hight to you and also a classic pear shape uk size 8/10 on top but a 12 on the bottom, i've just started the 30 day shred to try and tone up the thighs and mid section before holiday in August.
  • I did day 1 level 1 last night, off tothe gym tonight so will do a quick 5k run and then do the 30 DS. Good luck everyone, be good to see all our results in 30 days time. What does everyone log this under on MFP? I put aerobics general, is that right?
  • Last August I committed to doing a half marathon with only 8 weeks training, I was running 8-10k 2-3 times per week anyway. I worked with a running coach for the 8 weeks and completed the half in 2hrs 12mins. BUT it was such hard work, I was training 5-6 days a week so that I could build up to the time and distance, I…
  • I had the same conversation with my husband, i think he was joking but i'm not 100% sure, so I suggested that we get fit and healthy together, we don't get much chance to exercise together as we have children who can't be left alone yet but we talk about what we did at the gym each time, compare weights lifted etc he has…
  • I think there was a case of this that killed a runner taking part in the London Marathon in the last few years, can be very dangerous. I struggle to drink when I run and had to get into the habit when training for a half mrathon as well as getting used to taking energy gels while running. Good luck with the half marathon,…
  • Try Green tea with Jasmin, if find that has a better taste than plain green tea. It can take a bit of getting used to the taste and I agree with Slamina about not leaving the tea bag in for too long as it can get very strong.
  • I have suffered on and off for the last 12 months and found that physio helped, freeze a water bottle and roll that under your foot twice a day, sports massage and a good stretching routine for the calves and quads. My symptoms are worse when I wear high heels a lot so i try and alternate between flats and heels. I run 2-3…
