Spaghetti squash is really difficult to find in the UK, but I love it.

Vodka with diet lemonade and a twist of lime is nice, very refreshing on a hot day and not too many calories

You could try tracking what you have been eating as this will show you where the high calorie/high fat foods are. Don't give up everything all in one go as you will feel deprived, so cut one thing out like takeaways this week, log everything and then see where to go from there. It is all about lifestyle change rather than…

I try to weigh everything but there are times when I can't so I try and over estimate. I am drinking 1-2 ltrs water per day via caffeine free tea (rooibos) and water. I did wonder about the not eating enough, but I guess I struggle to eat more than MFP says, I will try and be a bit more consistent with numbers and give it…

I am 5ft 2" and current weight is 154. Last night's bootcamp session was 65-70 mins with little rest periods and I entered 55 mins to allow for the rest. I have ordered a HRM but it hasn't arrived yet so that may help, but even so I am under cals most days and still not lost anything.

When I completed my first half marathon a friend gave me a care package it contained a bath bomb, scented candle, miniature bottle of wine and a small box of chocolates. Her plan was that I would need a nice long soak in the bath after the event and that I should enjoy it as much as I could. I must say it was one of the…

Might be worth getting a Heart Rate monitor as it will be totally dependent on weight, activity and intensity. I usually log mine as circuits and for an hour session I would log 45 mins to allow for breaks etc.

Are you using a heart rate monitor to get your calories burned from exercise or using the bike display and MFP estimations? MFP is just an estimate as everyone is different and exercise machines are always highly in accurate. Your diary is private so we can't see what you are logging for food and exercise , if you can open…

I would suggest weighing once per week at the same time each week i.e. I weigh Friday morning as soon as I get up (after I have been to the toilet) You say your are burning 700 calories per day and only eating 1200 that means you are only consuming 500 calories (1200-700 =500) I would suggest that is too little to sustain…

I would class myself as a fun runner! I don't do it to win races but to keep fit and enjoy it. I have taken part in 5k,10k and a half marathon but fractured my ankle in January so only just back to training. Best advise I can give you is to introduce interval running, it works much better at increasing your fitness and…

I did both 1 and 2 of this about 2 years ago and it worked great, felt more toned and fitter. Thanks for posting this it has encouraged me to get mine out of the cupbaord and use it again.

Lazy fat ***** by my mother in law! Haven't seen or spoken to her since and that was over 3 years ago.

Hi Dave, Have you looked at chair exercises? There are lots you can do while not standing, if you google it you will find lots. Might just give you something to do when the urge to eat pies is too strong.

Find an exercise you like/enjoy, no one is motivated to do something they hate. If you like running but hate the treadmill then go outside to run, if you have a bike try cycling, swimming etc. Snacking between meals is a real issue for me too, some people have said don't have the naughty stuff in the house but that is…

Thank you for all your comments. I made decision to up my medication at the weekend and told my husband what had been going on. He is very supportive and we have made a plan for me to have a bit more time to exercise, I had a good weekend staying within my calorie limit while still having a treat of a glass of wine, so I…

Thank you for all your messages, just to clarify some points: I had lost 2.5 stone by sensible eating and exercise it was onlythe last .5 stone that went when I was at my worst point and depressed, so I had changed my lifestyle and learnt new eating habits. I have been on medication for my depression for 12 months and it…

Did you get your shoes properly fitted or just went with type you have had before? If not fitted then it could be the shoes, gait can change with weight gain/loss/age etc so always get fitted correctly. If they were fitted buy a reputable shop take them back and tell them you are having these issues they may have a refund…

I live in the UK and run all year round, layers is the best way to go with clothing as you may start off feeling really cold but you will soon warm up. I buy clothes that have refective bits on to make sure I get seen by traffic as I run in the evening when it is completly dark. If you are worried about running at night on…

You have had some good advice form other so not too much to add, but some good stretches I learnt from my running coach are: Stand with feet together but pointing outwards, like a ballet dancer, reach up and breath in, as you exhale reach down to your toes, don't bounce or push yourself, come back up and repaet 4-5 times,…

I did exactly the same thing 3 months ago, went from having long hair that was half way down my back to very short hair, like Hannah from the biggest loser, I love my new short hair but I struggle when working out as I can't tie it back anymore. I say go for it! If you don't get on with shorter hair it will always grow.

I'm 5ft 2in and started at 171, currently at 134 but have been as low as 128. Feel free to add me if I can help in anyway along your journey. Good luck, you can do it.

I belong to a 24 hour gym, mine is quite large but does get busy between 5-7, I try and avoid those times if I can, but sometimes I have to go then. Make sure you are flexible with your workout as you may not always be able to get on the piece of equipment when you want to, always have an alternative so you don't spend…

Try RunKeeper, I use that all the time and seems to work for me.

Planning is the key to working, eating right and exercise. I plan the family meals each week and shop for what I need, cuts down on the time needed to decide what to eat. Also you could cut out 1 bus ride and walk a little further, start by getting off the bus 1 stop earlier and cut out 1 stop each day, that will help to…

I had a nasty stomach bug late last year and couldn't keep anything in for 5 days, I tried to eat little and often and kept drinking clear fluids (Yakult was recommended by my GP) I lost 8lbs in 5 days but it all went back on within a few days of eating normally. She should try and eat what she feels like and keep…

How do you know that this is the right show for you? Did you get your gait analyised before you purchased it? If not it is probably the wrong type of shoe. I always have my gait analysised before I buy new running shoes as it can change with weight loss, injury etc, when shoes start to wear out you can also have problems…

When the size 16 dress I had bought for my husbands military christmas ball would not do up in the hotel we were staying in, eventually did it up with lots of breath holding and then the zipper burst as I bent down to put shoes on! I had to drive home (only 15 miles each way) change into a bigger dress and drive back to…

Im the organiser, if I don't organise get togethers or weeekends away it just doesn't happen. With one group (who I no longer see) I was the one they all thought they could pick on and ***** about, but with the new confident me I told them they were bullies and I didn't want them as friends anymore!

Most core exercises would come under strength rather than cardio, if you want to add something to show calories then perhaps pilates might be an idea as that is very core based. Only real way would be a heart rate monitor.
