Tap on the top right button twice press the middle one when you get to "settings" then tap the top button twice it should read 'User information" then tap the middle button and adjust weight..GOOD LUCK lol Although I tried to delete all the workouts it has saved over the last two months and I…
  • I have the FT7 I think it is the next one up from the FT4. Excellent tool one of the best Ive used for exercise (cardio) The chest strap is very comfortable and is stretchy. I wash mine in a laundry pouch and air dry it. Doesnt take long for it to dry.

  • Are they dumbells? Shoulder press, Chest Press, lat raise, upright row.....
  • I did body weight exercises with my PT the other day. I usually lift with weights but oh boy was I sore for a couple of days after doing the body weight excercises. I did 7 excercises of 100 reps so I reckon to really make it effective do lots and lots of reps as you progress on :)
  • I injured my shoulder doing press ups off a box. The pain extended from my shoulder down my arm, I couldnt lift anything above my shoulders and my injured shoulder protruded more than the other one. I had to see a physiotherapist. There was more to it than using Ice, ended up having two cortisone injections and popping…
  • Nothing is 100% accurate when it comes to weight loss tools but I believe the Polar HRM are better than what the machines or the MFP calculator say. Afterall, the HRM is monitoring your HR. Well, that is how I look at it. My burn can be rather high depending on what exercise Im doing
  • Ive weighed between 2-5 pounds since Jan the 2nd. I havent lost any more than 5 pounds. I have though lost alot in inches and my body shape is changing rapidly. Scale has been buried in the wardrobe till further notice :)
  • I think you should consult with your doctor. I started lifting by joining a gym and having a PT show me the ropes for once a week for about a month. Then I bought the Body for Life book. had great instructionsions with photos and was basic not confusing or anything. That book helped me gain so much knowledge and good form…
  • Im lifting three days a week doing 3x5 and cardio twice a week sometimes the same day as lifting. Im dropping inches and starting to see definition. Its all trial and error. Everyone is different. Maybe lift three times a week and do only 30 minutes of cardio the other three
  • I would prefer if it used "inches" rather than weight. Im dropping more inches than weight. So I tend to not even close my diary off for the day anymore
  • The first time around that I lost alot of weight while lifting was good I could eat anything and everything. Then I was injured. This time around Im eating more food but not anything and everything lol Still high in calorie intake especially on lifting days as I tend to eat more. BTW if you want to use the word "toned" You…
  • I log alcohol up until I lose count lol oh dear that sounds awful but it is hard to keep count if you are at an event as such.
  • Feeling fat, uncomfortable and extremely unhappy because of it.
  • LOL *thumbs up*
  • You will have to be patient on this one. Definitely take photos now though so you can compare in a months time :)
  • Three days a week would be sufficient to start off with but do get someone to show you what to do. Do your research.....If you are going to do it do it correctly :)
  • Inches. Been busting my butt since the start of the year only lost 5 pounds but the inches are dropping big time. Need to buy a belt to hold my work pants up lol. Throw those scales away and say hello to a tape measure
  • No, I meant what I wrote "for Africa" It's a saying for "lots of"
  • I usually dont but last night was bad. I was the only female in the weights area pumping heavy iron and just felt so insecure even though I knew noone was paying any attention to me. There were men for Africa in there and all I wanted to do was get out quick. I even cut one exercise a set short :( Just not feeling great…
  • Good on you for logging it! Many dont! Logging EVERYTHING makes YOU accountable. I wouldnt change anything by eating less tomorrow. Just start a fresh.
  • Im alot hungrier on lifting days I tend to bump up my cal intake on those days. Im so hungry I can eat an arm and a leg lol
  • Ive only lost 5 pounds since Jan the 2nd. It been a mental struggle Ive been working my butt off. Then I saw someones pics on here the other week, she has remained the same weight but OMG her body shape has shrunk big time. I have given up weighing myself. I took pics when I started (thankful for that) then I took update…
  • Yeah I believe you can gain weight at the start but I dont blame it all on the pill. You are eating at a surplus. Just your body reacting to the meds. It should adjust somewhat after a couple of weeks. No excuses for overeating then hehe
  • I started two years ago on Body For Life. That included Lifting three times a week and doing 20 minutes of HIIT training (cardio) the other two days. I didnt follow the eating plan. Infact I ate the same as what I was before I started. I lost 25 kilos and alot of inches. That book set me up with the basics lifting wise. it…
  • I think I need to bite the bullet and buy new underwear :ohwell: Havent lost alot scale wise but the inches are dropping. Congrats on your success thus far.
  • I love my FT7 one of the best tools for cardio. Makes me work harder and pick up the pace when Im slacking off hehe You should get one :) Chest strap is also very comfortable too
  • Yes yes great post. Im on a 5x5 linear type programme and it is awesome. This type of workout is right up my alley. Definitely pushes me to my limits. 4th week in and im lifting more weight than I ever have and feeling much better for it than doing 2 millions sets of mindless reps....
  • Im burning about 470 cal at a Body combat class depending on how good the instructor is :) They are an excellent tool HRM's for monitoring cardio calorie output.
  • You should mention that to the staff. I havent had anyone dodgy approach me but there have been a couple of people that have been removed from the premises.
