Thanks everyone for the advice, it was getting very de motivating. I am going to adjust my calorie intake down to 2100 initially and see what happens

OK so more accurate diary entries recording weight of portions if possible, reduce daily calorie intake to belo 2000, keep records for a week and see if there is any change, open diary up for the experts to tell me if nothing has changed. righto

If I go much less than the 2100 calories I usually take in mfp tells me I'm not eating enough. My entries are pretty accurate, I don't weigh everything however.
-
But it is MFP that gives you the (in my case) 1900 calories a day to eat measurement. Should you always eat the calories you have consumed doing exercise? Is that what you mean by eat them back?

I filled out a link someone else on here gave and it gave the following results. Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) 2131 Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) 2931 Daily calories based on goal 2344 So is this saying to achieve the weight loss I want I should be taking in 2344 calories a day?

My TDEE on that link you gave me is 2941

No not weighing my food exactly is that important? not taking measurements as have no pincher thing eating at this level for 8 weeks now No i exercise which will lose me 1000 calories in one karate session but i do not therefore eat more.
