Your body shape is just like mine so this is really inspiring! Looking at the first photo of you at 158lbs is like looking at myself about 6 years ago! You look strong and healthy, great job!

Oh my goodness, you look incredible! Can I just say (in a non-creepy way, haha) your body shape is amazing. You have the perfect hourglass. You were beautiful before, but you look beautiful and healthy now. Great job!

You look beautiful and healthy! You've done an amazing job, well done. Oh, and is that Brendan Urie in your display photo??

@ninerbuff Do you have any advice for people who get bogged down and obsessed with the numbers on the scale? I do have a goal weight in mind, but I have a very obsessive personality and when I'm trying to lose weight, I find it hard to not weigh myself multiple times per day and I get really bogged down with tiny downward…

I'm a stress eater/ last night eater too and like a lot of people have said, I keep about 200 calories for the end of the night to I can have something good at about 9pm. I always have a slice of wholemeal toast and 15g of nutella (177 calories for the whole snack). As for your insomnia and food helping you sleep, there…

I used to work in Warehouse when I was at uni and I lived in constant fear of getting too big to be able to fit into any of my uniform outfits! And that's when I was a size 14/16! The sizing is ridiculously small, so go you!

I can't wait to be able to go on a night out with my friends and actually look forward to it rather than dread it and then feel awful the whole time I'm there. I also can't wait to be excited to see photos from events/ parties/ nights out rather than sitting on facebook waiting to rapidly untag myself so no one can see me.…

Amazing!! You look great!

I think because I've spent my whole life thinking I was fat (even when I wasn't!) it was harder for me to realise what size I was when I actually did get fat. I bought a skirt for my graduation a couple of months ago and I remember looking at it when it was flat out on my bed and thinking it looked absolutely massive, then…

MFP in general has made me successful. Usually when I "go on a diet", I give up because i just seem to lose and gain the same 5/6/7lbs over and over. I think I've been dieting for ages and barely lost any weight and I give up. The "XX day streak" thing on my homepage lets me know that it's actually only been 21 days since…

Omg, we're already friends! Hahaha! Trust me..
-
We're the same height and probably around the same weight just now! I'll add you!

I've just graduated from uni, and trust me no one will bother about your weight! Get involved in clubs and study groups. At uni, it's what you KNOW not how you look that affects people's opinion of you. Definitely lose a bit of weight if that's what will make you feel good about yourself, but there's no need for deadlines.…

I've sent you a friend request Tami! 23lbs is fantastic so far! I find it motivating to have mini goals too, when you see my profile you'll know what I mean! Haha
-
Thank you for all the friend requests! I have added you all! Let's get motivating! Hahaha

Me!

I've accepted your friend request deohn1!

I've accepted your friend request! Thanks for adding me! I love the sense of community too, it's really helped me to lose weight once before. Logging on and seeing that my friends have hit the gym or made great choices really spurs me on!

Ah, yeah. I didn't read the OP properly! I use protein shakes because I don't get nearly enough protein otherwise, I don't do it specifically to lose weight. I have lost weight but that's not because I drink protein shakes, it's because I eat less calories than I burn.
-
This is exactly what I do. I leave myself a few calories so that I can eat something at night and stay within my calorie allowance. Sometimes it's not hunger for me either, I just want to EAT! haha. When that happens, I eat something low calorie but high volume, like a huge bag of lettuce with a little tiny bit of dressing…

I struggle to get a lot of protein in my diet because I'm vegetarian, so I have a protein shake for breakfast and one after the gym too which sometimes coincides with lunch. It's good for me because I have a tendency to obsess over what food I'm going to eat once I start trying to watch my calories, but I could easily see…

Is it the same kind of food every day/ week? If it is, you could just tell yourself that by not eating it today, it's not like you're missing out. You can have a couple of the things you really want today and a couple of different things the next day/ week. You don't have to have them all at once to enjoy them all.

The lowest weight I've ever been as an adult is about 150-154ish and I think I looked not too bad! I was still sturdy and curvy. This time I don't have a GW set in stone, it depends on whether or not I keep my boobs to be honest (they're pretty massive :/)! Haha. If I do I think I'll go for 135-140 and if I don't 130-135.…

I've added you as a friend too!

Thanks for your reply. I did think my HRM might be overestimating my calories, but I haven't been eating them all back anyway so it's not really been an issue yet! I do measure and weigh pretty much everything (except things like the 4 lettuce leaves I use for lettuce wraps, that would be more hassle than they're worth) so…
