I recommend a Heart Rate Monitor to calculate the calories you burn. then input your workouts manually. I use the Fitbit Charge HR. It's on my wrist, and monitors me 24/7 (except when i have to charge it)

The Surge coming out soon would probably be better as that is a 24hour HRM versus just counting steps. I have short commutes, so it doesn't add very many steps to my count.

I agree with Kalikel. I am currently dealing with a dietician, and my meal plans change as my weight loss fluctuates. But hey, I've lost 50 lbs since late October so, I will stick with what they tell me.

I am weighed every day or two. Of course I am on a supervised diet, and they do that to be able to adjust my program depending on the results. Making sure I don't Plateau for any more than a couple of days. Keeping me on task, so I can achieve my goals by a predetermined time.
