Good for you! My son was a volunteer, received his training and became auxiliary. He loved it and we were very proud of him. Then a woman came along and distracted him...too bad. I miss hearing all the stories. So much training involved. I have a great respect for it. Take care.

That's a great idea. I have the same problem but will incorporate that.

What is a SAHM? You are doing well so far. Add me as a friend if you like.

Walk for a five minute warm up. One minute run. One minute walk. Do the run/walk 7-9 times and run a little harder each time. Finish off with 3-5 minutes of walking. That will put you between 20-30 minutes for a workout and it's do-able.

Hi. I'm new to this group and to the MFP community. I've been using MFP for four years but never reached out to the community. I was on a different site for that but I want to keep it all in one and MFP is excellent for tracking the food. I've been on a journey to lose fat and gain muscle. I have put on the muscle but now…

Hi Jen. I will motivate you. I'm looking for a few key people to focus on and to receive motivation myself. Let's do this!

Absolutely don't give up! You're worth every effort. I've been using MFP for four years but I never used the community for support so I would really like to help. I'll send a friend request.

Hormones messing with me too so I'm not expecting too much during this all. It's huge about allowing enough calories so that a person doesn't lose muscle, but yet burning a slow amount of fat so that it doesn't start to steal from the muscle. Trying to find that balance is tricky. It's so important to track the…

I've had the e-book since 2006, but started taking it seriously last November. This is my second contest that I'm in and although I'm not "winning" per say, I have lost 9 lbs since then with a fat loss of over 11 lbs and a muscle gain of nearly 2 lbs. It's very slow for me compared to the men, and yes, it takes lots of…

You are probably gaining muscle while losing fat. Although it doesn't look great on the scale, it will look great on you. Your muscle will require more calories and that will lead to more fat disappearing. If you would measure your fat, take it off your weight, you will see your lean body mass going up (muscle). This is a…

Yes, I agree with the last comment. Lift weights. Get a strength training program going and continually build on it. You will begin to increase your lean body mass which will actually require more calories to operate. That should move you in the right direction. Deb

Don't try it. I received info from Tom Venuto and Dr. Oz and both speak highly against it. It used to be a big craze in the 60's and it's out there again. The US FDA or whatever has removed it from the market because it hasn't been proven to work. I know many people who have used it and yes, they lost weight, but it will…
