  • Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are working out, high cardio etc, it turns the fat in your body to muscle. Basic biological fact.

  • I make it with half ordinary potatoes and half swede/turnip. It cuts the calories and carbs a good bit. Sweet potato would work too, but the taste might over power the meat slightly.
