Yes. Yes and yes. I am struggling at this very moment not to eat everything I can get my hands on.

The last few take the longest to loose.

I picked out my worst trigger times to smoke and started painting my house. (interior) My biggest struggle once I got over the initial "itchin for a smoke" is my digestive system go REALLY sluggish and it took forever to sort itself out.

My yard is 1 acre and I have a huge garden and lots of grass. I count mowing the lawn because I do it with a push mower and I count certain kinds of gardening because otherwise I would starve to death. I also am really into kayaking and hiking/backpacking and although the hourly burn for those activities isn't crazy huge,…

When I gain weight, my nose gets fatter. More than likely no one notices but me.

I used to get mad and go to bed when I first quit. Now I know that's actually a strategy. I also did not diet for the first three seeks when I quit and I ate a whole lot of sugar. When I had a craving for a cig I would say to myself, "Wow, it feels like I want a cigarette but I don't smoke so I must want chocolate." I…

Log it so you can see the red and move on. It was a delicious hiccup in your diet.

Maybe they don't really want you to go out to eat with them. Maybe they are just trying to be polite by asking you so you don't feel left out.

No hiking this weekend but I am planning on getting the kayak wet with a jaunt down the Stillwater River. I've also started planning a backpacking trip to Big South Fork in Kentucky/Tennessee. If anyone has any favorite trails there please chime in.

That sounds awesome.

I think the Xena plan is awesome except for the part about the gods. Getting the notice of the gods always leads to trouble.

We had a pit mutt until she passed away earlier this year. She was a great family dog, not so great with strangers and not great with other dogs. People would be afraid of her but she never bit anyone the whole time we had her and she was a big old sweety pie. We miss her very much. *Her farts were epic, however. They…

I don't have this problem when I run, but I used to have this problem when I did jumping jacks and jump rope. I wore dark pants and soldiered on and concentrated really hard on not peeing. It mostly worked. I don't know exactly how long it took, but I no longer have this problem when I jump. I built up that muscle like any…
