I am keeping diabetes at bay with diet and exercise. So far it is working. It also helps with cholesterol, high cholesterol and any other things I can't think of right now. Anyone can add me.

Yes, it can get VERY frustrating at times. Sometimes you do what you think is right and the scale doesn't budge. Or have a little indiscretion for a day and the scale throws it in your face, so to speak, for the next several days. Anyone can add me if they want.

Get with a dietician to learn how to eat right for diabetes. Type 1, 2, insulin controlled, diet controlled. A dietician will have the correct info for you and know your exact medical history and bloodwork. I control type 2 with diet and exercise.

^This ^And this Low sugar, low carbs, high protein, more actual substance to eat than some of the other prepackaged individual servings. Compare the nutrition labels.

^^^^THIS! Pretty much what I was gonna say. One thing to add......During the race don't get caught up with someone else's pace. Set your own. Keeping pace with someone else might wear you out before the end. After you have a bit of experience you might try keeping pace with others, passing or other techniques. Now have fun…

Except for this past weekend. I was down there. Medicine Park had some big music/Harley fest. TONS of people. Wildlife preserve was crowded. Drove up Mt. Scott. I almost couldn't find parking at the top. There must have been 200 people or more up there. From OKC metro area. Bethany specifically.
