  • lmao Yeah, in what *I* wrote, not what came from the site. I guess you could be eating bear steak, walrus steak, fox steak, rat steak, horse steak, lion steak OR pork steak and be at risk for trichinosis... But, the one you actually might get from a BEEF steak would much more likely be e-coli.
  • Trichinosis is commonly found in undercooked pork, never in beef, to my knowledge, which was just confirmed: "Trichinosis is a disease caused by eating meat that has not been thoroughly cooked and contains cysts (larvae, or immature worms) of Trichinella spiralis. Trichinella spiralis can be found in pork, bear, walrus,…
  • I actually burn close to 600 calories doing ONE hour of Zumba, so I think this one's a bit off, but, I get the idea. lol
  • Ummm, I weigh between 136-140 lbs, depending on the day, and I have been maintaining since August. I regularly eat between 2000-2800 calories per day, only working out about 35 minutes a day 3 times per week. You don't have to be a high weight to be able to eat more.
  • Sounds like she's not truly your "best friend" if you view her in this manner. Best friends trust each other, lean on each other, etc. They don't necessarily go on the net and post about how awful it is to be friends with this awesome gorgeous person because they feel threatened by the beauty and awesomeness. That's just…

  • ^^ This. Yes, most definitely. Especially this part: "How about we all just... I dunno... try to celebrate health (both physical and emotional), character, and things that generally do not involve how we feel about the visual aesthetics of other people's bodies."

  • Depending on your fitness level, I think that doing RI30 before 6W6P is a good idea. 6W6P was a good bit more difficult, IMO anyway, than RI30. I really didn't LIKE 6W6P, but once I committed, I was getting it finished. It did some good things for me, stronger core, my abs are better, but I still have belly flab, and I…
  • I imagine you were asking the OP this, but I'll answer for myself, with stats from both programs (I pulled the info from a blog entry I wrote last year). "I started 30 Day Shred April 3 and finished it May 12. I then began Ripped in 30 on May 22 and am finishing it today, June 28. Here are my stats from the beginning of…
  • Good morning! Congratulations, that's not an easy thing to do!!! I recommend Ripped in 30 (also Jillian Michaels) after 30DS. It's a similar workout, but she does the circuits a little differently & I found that I actually liked it a lot better than 30DS (I've done them both). I've now done 5 of Jillian's programs and am…
  • AMEN! And, being a size 4 who has no desire to be smaller, I eat a LOT of food. Feel free to have a look at my diary. I believe in moderation, but I do eat what I want and a good amount of it. And that's to MAINTAIN at a size 4. I wasn't in the least offended by the OP's post, but the one at the top of this? "stop…
  • I also wasn't upset about her use of the word "normal," as I didn't take it the way others apparently did. I was just adding that I, too, am able to eat a lot and stay in the small sizes now... But, regardless, it's fine. No, eating more will not instill a sense of humor. ...thought it would be kinda cool if it…
  • ::::: Raises hand ::::: Me too. I regularly eat 2200-2500 calories per day and now only have to work out 3 days per week to maintain. It took a while to GET here, but I'm happy here. I never thought I'd be a size 4, but here I am.
  • Thank you, neandermagnon, for this. You probably explained it better than I would have anyway and I just didn't feel like trying to make the argument any more. lol
  • This made me laugh. Thanks!
  • Wow... So you honestly believe that anyone wearing a size 8 or 10 is overweight???? And certainly in an unhealthy BMI????? Judgmental much? Suppose the woman is 5'10" and wears an 8 or a 10? Still think that? Over-generalization.... Wow...
  • She also apologized. It would seem she made an error in the choice of her wording & we can't edit the subject line once posted. Cut her some slack...
  • Right... And I'm a US 4 as well. But having mannequins that are slightly bigger doesn't offend me in the least. I don't find that the "average", US citizen anyway, woman is generally considered to be a size 4, and, as someone else said, mannequins are intended to show what clothes will look like on a human body. I tried on…
  • I love it on the Artisan Tostitos tortilla chips. lol Roasted red pepper hummus with the black bean and garlic chips. MMMMMMMMMMMMM....
  • My hips and butt are sore today from doing workout 6 again yesterday. lol And I still suck at those supermans with my 5s, but I'll just keep trying to do another & another.
  • Oh, I also wanted to say that I've had to buy a bunch of new clothes, which wasn't cheap. I've made myself get rid of the larger clothes. This is helpful, for me at least, because who wants to go buy BIGGER clothes? I can go buy more of these SMALL clothes, but I have no desire to buy clothes in the larger sizes again. If…
  • I stick with it because I know what happens when I don't. I like the way I look now. If I want to stay looking this way, I have to pay attention to what I put in my mouth. I need to keep exercising. I eat what I want, I just try to keep it in moderation and I refuse to allow one or two "bad" days derail me. If I want to go…
  • Sync? No. Enter? Yes, manually. lol

  • I've been in maintenance since August and I still track daily. Mostly to stay accountable to myself... Also because I'm hypothyroid... I lost weight the year after I was diagnosed, then gained almost half of it back by stopping exercise and watching what I ate. I've cut back my workouts from 6 per week to 3 per week back…
  • Hahaha I love this quote & it pops into my head frequently.
  • And I hate circuit 3. Partly because in circuit 2 she says something about just one more circuit, which is, of course, a big fat LIE... But also because of the resistance band work. I don't have the band that should have come with the program, apparently it didn't come with the package my mom ordered for me... Regardless,…
