nothing wrong with a spike/cheat day. I'd log it. Just dont do it every day and limit it to once a week or do like other's said & exercise to earn those calories!

The quiona I get from a local store otherwise I find it in the natural food section. I didn't think it had a strong taste at all, I could taste the cheese/onion/pepper more. I wanna try making it with broccoli.

try doing the spike diet--there's a group on here spike84. You eat your BMR or less all week, work out, whatever, and one day a week you eat twice your BMR & dont work out. You gain a little after the spike day but by the next spike day that & more is gone. :)

definitely watch your form for when you are squatting & lunging. Also if you've done level 1 that many times just go ahead & move to level 2. No one is going to frown upon that. Also it helps to have some of your own music to blare instead of listening to jillian. Pick a mix on Pandora or Spotify if you dont have your own…

On Tuesday I had to go ask a big scary guy which bar to use for deadlifts at my gym and he helped point me over to the squat rack. He was very nice about it. I'm very excited to go back today and do squats at the squat rack!

the guys at my work deliberately put on over 20lbs around the holidays & carry weights in their pockets just so at the end they can win all the $ in our biggest loser competition.. needless to say I'm not playing the game this year.

I wouldnt sweat it--its not bad to let your body have a little splurge to trick it into thinking its gonna get tons of food. I do spike days (check the spike84 group) where I eat twice my BMR each week and still lose weight :)

read the book & think about what you read. I think your first day is great. But keep pushing yourself. If you can get many reps at that weight its time to move up. Venison is awesome with spicey/zesty--chili, enchiladas, tacos, lasagna.. So much better than beef for those things. :) I've been wondering what other proteins to look for too cuz I dont like to eat a ton of meat/fish (mostly too lazy to prepare it). Gotta make more chickpeas & quinoa.

Jillian designed it to be done not in 30 days strait but 30 days of workouts--some people do all 30 in a row but you can and should take a day off here and there if you need it.
