You're so right about life being meant to be lived. Glad you had such a great weekend. Drink lots of water today and tomorrow and you'll be surprised how much of that 3 lbs was water weight from sodium. :flowerforyou:

Good morning everyone. My weight loss has been crazy the past couple weeks. I was in the middle of the C25K program when my knees started hurting me. I quit running but was still doing the elliptical and DVD's but my knees still hurt so I quit doing any type of exercise for 10 days thinking my knees needed complete rest.…

Congratulations! It's amazing how happy you feel when that 1 appears as the first number on the scale. Keep up the good work.

Isn't that a wonderful feeling. Have fun at the Christmas party.

You're right, it is hard but it's not impossible. When I found this website and started losing weight in August, 30 lbs seemed like such a big number and so far out of my reach. Well, as of today, I've lost 30 lbs. Yes, there have been days that I ate over my calorie goals or days I just didn't feel like exercising but I…

I realized I was really losing weight around 20 lbs. But I realized I was getting healthy and felt so much better when I completed Week 5 /Day 1 of the C25K program. I had been repeating week 4 for 2 weeks because I didn't think I could do Week 5. I finally told myself that I wouldn't know if I could do it or not until I…

Congrats on your 13lbs and you should be proud of yourself. To me, every healthy food choice I make, every day I exercise and every pound I lose is a success. Good luck - you can do it!! :flowerforyou:

One thing that made me smile today was my co-worker's biopsy came back negative for cancer.

I can paint my own toe nails now. (Well, I could paint them before but it was so hard to bend over all my fat that it wasn't a very neat paint job so my boyfriend usually did them for me.) I can actually jog now without hyperventilating and passing out I can say no to french fries !!!

Hi Madison and welcome to MFP. I have dieted 100 times in my life but joining this site has been the best and most helpful thing I've ever done when it comes to getting healthy. Everyone on here is very helpful and motivating. Good luck and just take it one day at a time, one pound at a time. :flowerforyou:

Regarding your dislike of vegetables...I was never a big fan of veggies (broc, zuchini, squash, green beans, peppers) but I started cooking them several different ways and using different spices and now I love them. Never, never, never ate green beans until 4 months ago. I learned that the problem I had was I couldn't…

Hey everyone. Today is my official weigh-in day and let me tell you, it was a lot better than last Monday's weigh-in! Thanksgiving weekend was not good for me but I got back on track as soon as I got home. Here's my loss so far: Dec 1 - 194.8 Dec 6 - 192.0 -2.8 loss Even though I'm halfway to the 5 lb goal, I'm not getting…

Yeah, the first week or so was hard for me. I was going from around 3000 calories a day (guesstimate) to 1500 so I was hungry those first few days. Drink lots and lots of water. When you're tempted to eat, and you don't have the calories left, get busy and you''ll be surprised that the temptation will pass. Don't worry…

I have several but 2 of my favorites are Amy Grant's Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song) and Emmanual, God With Us.

I don't know about eating them EVERY day but I'd say if your cholesterol level is good, I would think 4 or 5 eggs a week are OK. It is for my anyway. I eat at least 4 a week either scrambling them for dinner or eating a boiled one for breakfast. I just had my physical 2 weeks ago and my cholesterol was good so it doesn't…

Hello everyone. Well, I didn't quite make the challenge last month. Only lost 4.4 but I'll take it. I'm really going to concentrate on staying under my calorie goal and adding 10 minutes to my workouts cause I really want to end the year on a good note. Dec 1 - 194.8 SW Good luck everybody.
-
Almost made it. Lost 4.4 in November but I'm pleased with that. Maybe it was the 3 pieces of chocolate cake I had 3 days in a row over the Thanksgiving weekend. :blushing: Nov 1 - 199.2 Dec 1- 194.8 Now on to the December challenge...

Whew! Glad this weekend is over! Had a great time at Myrtle Beach and with all my family but that was a hard 4 days. Got 3 days of exercise in but went over on my calories 3 days. Scales were up 1.6 this morning but I know some of that is sodium and I didn't drink nearly enough water over the weekend. But it's all…

My knees started killing me after jogging. I took couple days off, iced them once at night and took advil twice a day. I am doing the elliptical and walking now and sometimes they hurt but no nearly as bad as before so everyone once in a while I still ice them. Also started doing exercises to strengthen my quads, inner…

I weigh in on Mondays. The Monday before my TOM, I have terrible weigh-in. Might lose .2 or .4. But then Monday after I start, the scales show anywhere from 1.8 to 2.4 loss. So I really don't fret the weigh in before because I know things will get back on track by the next weigh in.

Just went through drive-thru at Wendy's to get small chili (only 220 cals) and wanted an order of fries cause they looked so delicious on that hugh billboard. BUT, I didn't give in. Drove off with only chili, and it only cost $1.39. Can't beat that. Last night I was temped to do a short workout cause I was tired. Told…

I'm re-reading the Twilight Saga books. Finished Eclipse Saturday night and cried like a baby at the end, again. Will start Breaking Dawn tonight.

I had been doing the elliptical, treadmil and various DVD's for 2 months. Started doing the C25K running program and did fine for 7 weeks but then on Week 5 ( I repeated week 4 twice) my knees started killing me. I have NEVER had any kind of knee problems. Stopped to the C25K but my knees hurt regardless of what I did. So…
