  • No, but I can beat box.
  • +1. I was expecting to see protruding bones and sickly women...(not that I wanted to see that).... but these women look very healthy and confident if you ask me.
  • You know what I LIKE about this set of pictures? It doesn't have a face associated with the body, so right away that preconceived judgement of "Oh its JLO, she always looks good..etc" is not there. As a previous poster said, its nice to just appreciate others for who they are.. and embrace the fact that we are not all…
  • 1. Drink at least 64oz of water per day (8 glasses), and you will be good. 2. Try 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels, or any of her videos for that matter. They are ~30 min. 3. Make this a lifestyle change! Not a DIET. That word has bad ju-jus. Best of luck!
  • And one other thing... don't try to lose it too fast. That is where I failed miserably in the beginning. Trying the newest and greatest low carb, high protein, etc. fad out there in hopes of 2+ lbs per week... then when it wasn't coming off I'd just fall back into the old habits. You have to remember that at 5'7 you're…
  • I'm 5'7 and started at 172, Now at 161. :) Its taken a very long time to finally see some consistent progress, however what really helped me was lowering my calories. Everyone is different. I started off doing the TDEE/BMR calculations which had me around 1600 a day to lose weight. When I wasn't losing on that, I lowered…
  • I didn't realize when I posted this I'd get such a great response...so glad this is out there though for others to reference. I've decided to lean toward trying every possible way to eliminate the stress and issues that are causing this depression vs. taking meds. I do exercise, but not as frequent as I probably should to…
  • You make some very valid points... and interestingly enough I am predisposed to serious depressions (runs in the family). Hence, why my mom recommended the antidepressant. I went to counseling a while back for a separate issue, but one thing she did talk about was conflict resolution and how important that can be. We all…
  • Very interesting. I'll look into this. I agree- I'm all about avoiding a prescription if at all possible. Ideally I would have puppies and rainbows flowing through my home on daily basis to lift my spirits, but I guess since that's not reasonable to ask I certainly need to find alternatives that are beneficial to my…
  • Wow- this is a really good description of the pros and cons. LOL at the cheese, sorry it was giving you problems. :flowerforyou: Crazy... right now I have all the symptoms you've listed, minus the suicide (thank goodness): ".. my mind was racing, I felt extremely agitated and moody, paranoid, had bouts of insomnia, worried…
  • ^^^ BRAVO to the poster above!!!!!^^^ :drinker: VERY well said! (aside from the lack of paragraphs lol..)
  • I really love this post. <3 I think anyone who is a dog lover or owner can relate.
  • Hmmm interesting. If you wanted to remain anonymous, why not just place up a photo of a setting sun or something of the like rather than putting up a random photo of an attractive person. You stated something like you now view it as an experiment of how creepy men can be etc., and you now understand what hot people must go…
  • That really stinks. The lady I went to with my issue was awesome. The first appointment I was unsure of her, but she gave me "homework", I went back and saw her a week later... then continued to see her ever 2 weeks for 6 months until she moved out of state. Fortunately by then my issue was at bay because after her I've…
  • While I do agree its important to mostly choose nutritious foods for your calories, I also still firmly believe that a weekend of eating junk but staying within your calorie goals will not harm your weight loss progress.
  • ETA: I've deleted my previous post because after looking at some of the other topics you've posted, its pretty obvious you have a binge eating disorder. You're not going to lose weight if you continue to binge eat. If you continue to do so and then just figure you will eat nothing the next day to even out the calories,…
  • :drinker: mine too! Awesome!!!!!!! lol
  • Height: 5'7" Age: 26 SW: 172.2 (tight size 10, loose size 12 pants, top size medium) CW: 162.4 (comfortable size 10, top size medium) GW: 145-150 I'm eating on average 1450-1600 per day (averaging out of 7 days.. somedays I'll have around 1200, others I'll have closer to 1800... it all averages out though)
  • Thanks and good luck to you as well! The first couple weeks I lot 2 lbs... then the weight loss stalled... but then it started back up at about .6-1 lb each other week. :) I guess as long as its moving in the right direction I should be happy..
  • Thanks- you're so sweet! That really made me feel good. :) If you want to be in law enforcement go for it.. you're totally capable! I can imagine what it is like for you with your gf working in the hospital. If she's a nurse, I know they work the same hours as law enforcement.
  • Feeling happy and confident that I've reached my goal weight... and not constantly thinking about how much more weight I have to lose. Oh- and by the time I reach my goal my face should thin back out. So not looking like such a chubby chipmunk in pictures. :)
  • Once a week on Friday morning. This makes most sense for me because Friday night- Sunday night I'm usually not as disciplined with my eating so it doesn't make sense for me to weigh in on a Monday morning... then just get let down when I don't see a loss because I've got a lot of water retention etc. from the weekend. :) I…
  • Mockamole?!?! BLASPHEMY!
  • Tom, Tom... you're the bomb! (Cheesy I know... :P) Congrats on taking this first big step! As you see, there is plenty of support on here. Also, don't be discouraged by the bad support... there are always some bad apples here and there but the good ones far out weight the rotten. If you need to know the right direction to…
  • What if your recommended calorie intake for weight loss is 1500 cals/day... but you eat 2000 cals worth of clean food and vegetables? Just thought I'd throw that out there since I'm sure there are many who will point out that one of the most important things is ensuring calories out > calories in, regardless of…
  • Love this timeline!! You MUST keep adding with each milestone and you MUST keep sharing with us all! :) You're doing great, keep it up!
  • Haha "morbid curiousity" is a great way of putting it. On days when I know I've gone over a huuuuge amount, I still like to be able to quantify it, rather than just stating that I know I went over really bad. If anything, it helps put it in perspective vs. a mere estimate. :)
  • MapMyRun I've found this to be to most accurate and informative of all the fitness trackers out there. I also love how it saves your route via gps, and that it will tell you how far you went, average speed, elevations/climbs, calories burned, etc.
