I love reading your stories...All of you are doing an awesome job. I know this sounds petty but for me it was keeping up with my husband. 5 years ago he decided to loose weight - which he did fairly quickly being a man and having a lot of muscle. He won a weight loss challenge they had at the gym and then got into body…

This is a pretty cool link. Thanks for sharing. I like the way 130 looked. I might have to lower my goal 5lbs. I am lifting weights too so I will have to wait and see. I know I still have lots of body fat.
-
I agree. An increase will make me re-evaluate, what am I doing differently, but I don't get discouraged.

Did you get checked for pre-diabetes? You sound a lot like my hubby. What helps him the most with headaches, emotions etc it to eat a balanced diet. No carbs or sugar without eating a protein source too. Cardio exercise is good for burning off extra sugar in the blood too. This may not be your problem. I would talk to your…

FITBIT would probably be most accurate. I was told once 20 minutes of posting trot = 20 of aerobic exercise.

I had the same wake up call. It is what helped me the most. Happy Measurings

That's good to know. chico always gets cuts and stuff on his legs. I don't know what he does. This one just won't heal right. Vet has been out 3 times in the last 2 months. I think it is the FL moisture
-
Do you wrap it the entire time? Vet told me wrap for a couple days then leave uncovered. He also gave me a steroid powder. It still grew back even though I scrubbed and followed his directions. I figured this was cheaper than another vet visit, if I don't see results in a few days like it claims to do I will return it and…

Mares. I have 2 geldings and a pony mare, but the best horse I owned was a little cracker horse mare. She was honest. If she was in a bad mood you knew it. She would carry me anywhere. She was great with the kids and extremely patient. My geldings are both intelligent and mellow to an extent. Chico has a wicked sense of…

My mustang will jump the small trench when riding too. Small logs is all I do although my daughter's pony can do 3' I am not interested in anything that high. I love reading the older posts. I know how good it feels to be able to get on without a mounting block. Even though Chico is only 14.2 so it's kind of like cheating.…

I just wanted to say "Good For You!" you are never to old to learn something new.

This is a great group. I add friends from time to time if I see them with a horse picture. I love the idea of this group. I am 42 years old, an Accountant and live on a small farm in FL. I have 3 ponies although one is actually mine to ride. I have to pay the bills for the other two. Scout is mine 100% - He is a 3 year old…

Ask him to go with you. Hubby and I go to the gym together even if we don't do the same routines
-
I do the same, I usually know what I am going to eat because I bring my lunch to work. I will tweak it if I change something. It's been working for me so far.
-
This is what helped me the most.
-
Stop eating the popcorn. Make better choices. A small portion of turkey or chicken breast and veggies maybe
-
I understand what you mean. We don't give up the foods we love entirely. Just have to learn control. I love food. I have never been in the 300+ range but I have been more than 100lbs over weight twice in my life. Lost a bunch before - got out of plus sizes. Hurt myself running, gained it all back in 2 years. Been 3 years…

This is my biggest fear. It is really hard for me to loose weight
-
This I could possibly live with.

You may need to re-calibrate the digital scale. Contact the manufacturer. Once that is done stop moving the scale around. It makes things go off and you will have to re-calibrate again. I bought one from Amazon.com I think it is the eat smart digital scale. Works great. I put it in one spot and have not moved it.

This. Heavy weights - don't be scared to lift like a man. You won't look like one I promise.

I was a big soda drinker too and I switched to diet. I have given up even diet soda and have been drinking water and coffee in its place. I used to have 1 cup of coffee a day and a 20oz bottle of soda. I have been loosing weight steadily. I don't think it is just the diet soda I think it is a combo. I drink a lot more…

This is a great way to do things. I try to do the same. If you do eat sweets try to eat a protein source with it. Chicken, fat free cottage cheese, or some other lean protein that you are not allergic to.
-
somebody read my profile. Thanks:laugh: And thank you to everyone else too. As for naming my fat. I will call it - gone for good.
-
looks like you lost that 25 pounds in all the right places. Keep up the good work.
-
Great advice
-
You look great.
-
I know you cannot spot reduce but I did read that bananas, carrots, corn, and I t hink the last one was peas have more sugar and make it harder to lose belly fat. I used to eat a banana every day with my cereal and have switched to just one a week. I have noticed a reduction in my belly fat. Like you this seems to be where…

Cheerios and fat free milk almost every morning. I don't like to cook and in the mornings cereal works for me.

First of all looking at your profile - you are not really fat. Overweight maybe, but not fat. If you were to exercise and weigh/measure your food and log it you could have one hot body in no time. Don't be shy to workout in front of your family. Get some headphones and tune them out. Your husband won't leave you because…
