9/5: 150 + 40 = 190 9/6: 190 + 20 = 210 - forgot I ate a banana during the day so all my end of day calculations were for nothing... grrr 9/7: 210 + 30 = 240 (this includes 10 points for water)
-
9/4: 120+30 = 150 (including water) I agree, pre-planning is important. I sat for 30 minutes when I got home trying to make the numbers work with what food was available. Finally had to give in to the carbs because workouts make you hungry and I didn't pay close enough attention during the day... But made my protein and a…

I was wondering about adding water as another marker. It's important. I know I could use the motivation. I haven't been tracking in forever although I know I drink "enough"... since cutting, I decided to track it again. Another 10 points for 8 or more cups?

9/2: 50 + 70 = 120

Best to fuel the body for one day imo. I was confused by your macros, btw. lol
-
9/2: 30 + 40 = 70 Under more than 10g for Fat & Sugar
-
Yikes! I'm in trouble this month!
-
9/1: 40... Over by 9 on sugar
-
Now THAT'S a challenge *wipes sweat from brow*

8/21: 20 + 360 = 380 8/22: 10 + 380 = 390 8/23: 0 + 390 = 390 8/24: 20 + 390 = 410 8/25: 50 + 410 = 460 (woo hoo! finally! lol) 8/26: 10 + 460 = 470
-
8/20: 20 + 340 = 360

What we're doing is fine with me. Coming within 10 points without going over is a big challenge, especially with carbs, but we need to do it. Protein goal is good. Calories is good. I think within 100 is a reasonable goal. Maybe we should just keep doing this so we get in a groove and get better at it.

I think we're all in a bit of a food funk these days... Hopefully, September will be a good time to refocus.
-
8/18: 20 + 280 = 300 8/19: 40 + 300 = 340
-
8/17: 20 + 260 = 280 Cals & sugar... Came VERY close on the macros, within a couple of grams
-
Lol... who could hate you? I think I counted it even if it was more than 10 under for the macros... Actually, it is hard coming within 10 grams of a macro without going over. I'm eating almonds one at a time at the end of the day trying to hit that sweet spot lmao

Thanks to Rachel, the Bubble Burster, recalculated: 8/4 - 20 8/5 - 20 8/6 - 30 8/7 - 0 8/8 - 40 8/9 - 0 (didn't log) 8/10 - 20 8/11 - 40 8/12 - 0 8/13 - 20 8/14 - 20 8/15 - 40 8/16 - 10 Total - 260 I don't wanna play anymore :grumble:
-
Uh oh... recalculating...

Really sorry for not getting over here sooner... 8/4 - 50 8/5 - 40 8/6 - 40 8/7 - 30 8/8 - 50 8/9 - 0 (didn't log) 8/10 - 20 8/11 - 40 8/12 - 40 8/13 - 40 Total - 350 So this is based on: - Calories not over or under more than 100 - Carbs, Fat under by any amount - Protein under or over by any amount - Sugar under by any…

That sounds great. May have to try it. 60 grams though. Brings us to the age old controversy of how much protein one can (should) absorb in one meal. I try to keep mine around 35 times 5 "meals" a day.
-
This is what I've been using. 6 pound bag for $60 if you get it at the store.
-
I also recommend a food scale. It helps to have one where you can subtract the weight of the container. For example, I turn mine on, set a Tupperware container on it. Reset it to zero and then add the food. This way it only weighs the food. I find it very helpful.

This is a great thread! Just sayin.

First of all, I'm no expert... How did you determine the 2500 calories? Did you use the MFP "gain xx pounds per week" method or determine your TDEE and set custom macros? I use an app called MyFitness Calculator (not related to MFP that I know of) to set my calories. It's very easy to do with this app. At your age, your…

"Bulking is a battle of self-esteem. Cutting is a battle of self-control." I really like that and I'm gonna steal it for my profile page. I've been bulking for the first time since mid-March after slowly increasing calories from 1700 to 2400 in about 3 months. After losing 50 pounds in 3 years, I hesitated to start bulking…
