I appreciate this discussion because I often find myself putting the apple down after pre-logging my food for the day. Even with the fiber, the net carbs are relatively high (as it affects my carb total for the day). Are there "good" carbs and "bad" carbs? Or are they all the same in that if they aren't burned off, they…

You really can see the difference in your face and arms. You look younger and healthier too. I'm always happy to see young people take control of their health at an earlier age than I did. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see your next progress pic!

Congrats on your progress so far and your interest in lifting. I started at 62 three years ago, and was surprised to see how much I liked the challenge. It hasn't always been easy but I continue to make progress. This (2005) article on T-nation has helped me determine sets/reps:…

Have you looked in the mirror lately? No way you're over 50... Hey, wait a minute.... Maybe that pic is for Throwback Thursday or it's your daughter... Send me a Friend Request and a copy of your birth certificate and I'll consider it B)

Doing good, Rach, considering what your October has been like. I'll see if I can remember to add mine up...

I guess we're on a break, eh? We can probably use it... I've been practicing weekly averaging anyway so I don't angst over daily overages...

Amazing transformation! Congratulations and thank you for sharing and inspiring others.

I was thinking we could go one more month and then take the holidays off. Not likely the challenge will help us during Thanksgiving and Christmas lol. We'll just have to do our best during that time and not feel guilty about enjoying the holidays. Maybe make October an easy month. Really concentrate on Protein, making sure…

Thanks, partner... It's really hard to get them all to come out within 10 grams.

9/23: 30 + 800 = 830 9/24: 40 + 830 = 870
-
9/22: 40 + 760 = 800

Hey, you are still logging. Considering what's going on, just that is a win... Put down the baseball bat and quit beating yourself up. And that's an order!
-
Good job, Rach!

9/21: 30 + 730 = 760

Lmao, this surprises you or you're just confirming? It's part of my workout spreadsheet. Kind of a snapshot view of everything in one worksheet. It's easy to plug in the numbers every day. I got time... I'll upload a screenshot of the whole thing cause I know you can't wait to see it. Hehe.

First two weeks of the month at a glance. Little low on carbs the second week, but it didn't affect my workouts or how I felt. Overall, I'm pleased. Added Sat Fat to the tracking the second week.

Ack! Just found a logging error for 9/14. Subtract 20 points so 540...
-
9/15: 30 + 530 = 560 My low score days have still been decent. Staying under with Carbs and Sugar and not worried about going over with Protein.
-
9/14: 50 + 480 = 530 Almost a full house two days straight! Off by have a peanut!
-
9/11: 20 + 380 = 400 9/12: 30 + 400 = 430 9/13: 50 + 430 = 480

*pulls down pants* Let's do this....
-
Tough making protein without help from the powder...
-
^^^ That was supposed to be 9/8... 9/9: 50 + 270 = 320 9/10: 60 + 320 = 380
-
9/7: 240 + 30 = 270 (Fat, Protein, Water... under on the rest)

Haha! Bummer, no booze?
