Just to look at me you wouldn't know that 1) I used to weigh almost 400 lbs 2) I can lift a 260 lb man off the floor deadweight 3) I have all kinds of stretch marks (thighs, belly, butt, boobs, arms...) 4) I can walk with my 68 lb son and 74 lb daughter sitting on my feet =D

I've been married for 11 (almost 12!) years... I love the man even though he drives me crazy, and he swears he still loves me enormusly even though I KNOW I've got my quirks too! I just tell him mental health professionals are on the list of people he can't see, because if they ever cure his "crazy" he'll realize what a…

My two most desired pets are a hedgehog and a Little Owl (Yes, that's really their name... LOL)

I once let my then 6-yr-old little sister paint mine... it looked BETTER than when I did it myself! (I was 23 at the time... sad, I know.)

I was in pretty much the same boat up until the last couple of weeks... I'm just starting to climb out now. Even making things at home I was still far more limited by my salt than I was my calories! Then I started reading labels... (Yes, I'm that freak in the grocery store with 9 kinds of butter/margarine in her hands…

Welcome to MFP! Feel free to add me if you'd like! I try to respond to all posts (although I don't do so well over the weekend... it's chaos when my kiddos are home) I do log in every day. My kiddos are 10 and 8 =D

Feel free to friend me too! I know those days all too well... my way of dealing is to turn on Zumba after the kids go to bed and try to hit 2k calorie burn... I never make it, but by the time I'm done I crash and crash HARD... and wake up the next morning with no more frustrations! That and turning to my wonderful MFP…

My goal for March is to lose at least 10 lbs... that's half-way to my goal of being at 200 by May 1, at which point I plan to do something just for ME! 3/1: 219.8 3/7: 218.5 (Not the two pounds I wanted but a loss is a loss! I'll do better next week! =D) 3/14: 3/21: 3/27:

Obviously what you're doing IS working! Take a look around the success story forums. There are loads of people who lost fat and then gained weight by building up muscle. Stop worrying about the scale and focus on the NSVs... If you're getting smaller or even maintaining at your size, getting more healthy, and toning up…

I'd honestly rather be addicted to a size than a weight... I'm supposed to weigh 127 lbs... but I fit in a size 8 when I was 186 and 21% on the BMI! If I want to weigh 200 lbs and I can fit my a*s in a size 6 comfortably, who am I to complain? LOL You can make a size 6 if you want it and work for it... that's my goal, and…

Feel free to add me! I tried to do the same thing, but I did it wrong and screwed up my cardio... I'm doing it right this time and I'd love to help you on your journey! YOU CAN DO THIS! And I want to be here cheering you on when you post that you've got orders!!

I'm getting healthy around a family too! We can do this together =D

I've honestly never gone to a class at a gym, because by the time I got up my courage to go the freaking thing went out of business. I went to one held in the wrestling room of my kid's school once, and that was actually a lot of fun... Yes, you should bring comfortable, flexible clothes (I do Yoga fairly often at home)…

I'm 5'5"... well, I claim my entire 5' 53/4", but I blame that on my hubby for making short jokes all the time! LOL

Not currently but soon... Whiskey!!! I so can't wait... my little reward at the end of the day... =D

My kids call me the Alpha ***** (the noun, of course) and say they're only breathing because I love them (jokingly, of course... I hope... LOL)

I'm not sure, exactly, but if it helps when I do my resistance band workouts I log it as either Pilates or Strength, depending on which I do =D

I agree that kids shouldn't be pressured, but both me and my hubby log our foods and exercise and our kids want to follow suit. I think it's a good idea not so much for limiting calories as for taking a good look at what's actually IN their meals. They critique my food log as it is... LOL Not only that but it would give…

Or maybe I could just make my kids accounts and modify their goals to the USDA recommendations... maybe that's the way to go. I'll have to look at the terms and conditions again... Any MODS want to comment??

That's awesome! What a wonderful NSV! Keep up the incredible work! =D

I used to have that problem too... I started looking for foods that were higher in calories and reasonably lower in the other things I was trying to watch (like sodium and saturated fat). Some examples are Almond butter... 190 cal, 2 sat fat, 60 sodium, 7 carbs and 6 protein Fish (you can eat a lot of fish to build up…

I love Zumba on the Wii, but if that's not your thing maybe you could do something like this? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-Twist-n-Step/17299056 Hope this helps!

I agree wholeheartedly! We all have real-life issues... but we need to deal with them and move on. Here are some of the medically verifiable excuses that I COULD use but refuse to: I have a torn valve in my heart, two bad knees, a bad ankle, and sciatica... and yet not these nor the two kids or the disabled hubby keep me…

That's awesome! Congrats, and keep up the great work! =D

Head baker/waitress in a bakery when I was 15... awesome job for a workaholic! I could work from 2 am to 7:30 am, then go to high school from 8-4, do homework for HOURS (I was on the 3 year plan) and get back to it the next day =D

I'm 5'5" and my main goal is 140... when I get there I'll figure out if I need to lose more. I felt best between 127-133, but this time around I'm building a lot more muscle, so that'll add weight. If I'm in a size 6 I guess I don't really care if I weigh 160, as long as I'm where I want to be fitness wise. It all depends…

Don't mind seeing gauges, but they're not for me... but I have 10 piercings (ears, eyebrow, tongue) and I've signed for my kids to get pierced (just ears, for now... they're 8 and 10... but later on piercings will be an option for rewarding good grades/behavior)

I'll be your friend! =D

You look incredible! Keep up the great work! =D And as a side note... I want a pic with the TARDIS... =D LOVE IT!
