  • Me three!
  • I'm not exactly the poster child, but I've come a long way toward controlling my sodium (cheese is still my nemesis, though)... my diary is open, if you want to look... but the thing that helped me most was just reading labels. I'm able to use almost the same ingredients for my meals, generally, just lower sodium options.…
  • That's great! I love the feeling of over 1,000 cals burned... LOL all too rare for me, but I always feel so good about myself! Keep up the great work! =D
  • SW 236.2 CW 231.8 Wow! 4.4 lbs? I had to weigh myself three times before I believed it... I know the next 100 lbs isn't going to fall off like this, but what a motivating start! That was my warmup week... this week I start going to the gym 5 days a week and incorporate some circuit training. (Honestly I'm a little nervous…
  • I am just climbing back onto the MFP wagon after moving and gaining 28 pounds... we can do this, if we do it together! Feel free to add me, and I'll be there to cheer every time you submit your diary! Just keep coming back. Log everything, even if it isn't pretty, and rely on your MFP friends to keep you coming back! =D
  • I log it all... but I do so carefully. I have myself set at sedentary because I spend a LOT of time at my computer and I wouldn't clean the house or cook if it wasn't for (A) the necessity and (B) the logging. That being said, I ALWAYS round things like housework/walking/cooking down to the nearest ten and then subtract 10…
  • Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a good day yesterday! (I haven't read through the posts yet, but I'll get there...) Yesterday was a wonderful but exhausting day for me. I managed to break 1,000 calories of burn and stay under all my goals (even sodium, which gets hard with extra calories to eat). By the time the…
  • I don't know about perfect pregnancy foods (I wasn't exactly health-smart when I was pregnant), but I recommend going under goals and changing them to what is recommended for your stage in pregnancy. That way you can log and see what you're eating and if it's balanced. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
  • Thanks for this! If I had room in my diary or even hadn't had dinner thawing, I could have adjusted and split a treat with my kiddo. If I'd gone to the gym today, I would have had plenty of room, but I'm trying to ease myself into working out again and not hurt myself trying like I usually do (although I'm starting to…
  • UGH! Sorry for the negativity, but I have to ***** somewhere... Today I was good... I was active, I stayed in-goal, I got everything done that I needed to do. Sounds like a great day, right? And it should be remembered that way, but I'm frustrated. See, when I started working out it seemed like my metabolism skyrocketed in…
  • That's awesome! Way to come back from a long stumble! I'm just coming off of my own long stumble, so this is very inspiring to me. Keep up the good work! =D
  • I have over 100 to go too. If you'd like to add me you can!
  • I'm about 100 pounds from where I need to be too... I don't have a lot of advice, but if you want a friend who's traveling the same road you are feel free to add me! We can motivate and support each other!
  • Day one of my new workout routine, and boy did it kick my butt! It was fun, but any time you burn 800+ calories in an hour you come out of it tired. I made it though, even through volunteering at my 3rd grader's school for an hour and a half. I was ready to eat the next thing that stood still within reach, or even moved by…
  • I'm in! I'm 30, lost 18 pounds on MFP and then moved 1600 miles with two kids a husband and a dog... not to mention two u-hauls. That's when I fell off the wagon and gained back at least everything I'd lost. But I'm getting back on and gonna kick butt now! Goal for this week... go to Zumba twice, make it through…
  • Thank you for your service, and welcome to MFP! My hubby is also a Veteran, and I have to say it brightens my day to see more showing up on the site. If you're looking for more friends, feel free to add me!
  • I love Zumba! LOL That's how I'm breaking back into the workout routine, starting tomorrow. It's so fun I forget I'm exercising... =D
  • Definitely gonna keep my eye on this one... I had the same insane urge, albeit mine is just hosting for a crapload of kids (the entire third grade)... My only idea so far is pigs-in-a-blanket mummy style, where you cut the dough up into narrow strips and wind it around the hotdogs like wrappings, leaving a hole for the…
  • I'd say 20-22%... but I'd like to have that much fat over a set of muscles like the lowest one, which would make me look just a bit bigger.
  • I think it all depends on your build and how muscular you are. I looked good at the top edge of "normal" range for me... My husband looked like a skeleton 23 pounds above his "normal" range... The pic of you at 170 looked healthy (read gorgeous!!!) and honestly if you're going for that size (ish) and more toned you'll…
  • MFP also has Curves Circuit Training in the exercise database, if a HRM isn't an option and (like me) you don't trust yourself to remember what the smart card said LOL Good luck! =D
  • I still eat junk food... just not as much of it at a time =D I eat everything I did before, I just focus more on my healthy alternatives and use the junk food as desert (sometimes planning my whole day around it if it's REALLY important to me LOL)
  • Thank you for posting this! I love the inspiring viewpoints I'm getting to read on this thread! I do not take my physical ability for granted. I watched my construction worker/lumberjack/mill worker husband collapse on the floor because of a back injury and go into a wheelchair for just over two years. I watched him…
  • Thanks for the advice, guys! I'm sure I'll be feeling even more thankful in the morning =D
  • I'm 5' 5" and I'm looking to be about 140... maybe a little more, maybe a little less depending on how defined I am when I get close. Good luck! =D
  • Water (Last 3 times my head went underwater I had a panic attack so bad they thought I hit my head and I was going into shock... even called the paramedics once before I could stop them) Failing (at anything, but especially failing my kiddos)
  • The thing that turns me off most is acne... because even if she does take care of her skin (even though it doesn't look like it) I still don't want to play with what's inside the acne... (gross...) The thing I find most attractive is the curve of a woman's spine... it's like a sword... every one is different, but they are…
  • My most frequent lunch is an Orowheat thin roll, 3 slices of turkey lunchmeat, a slice of Lucerne 2% swiss, a huge Romaine leaf folded up so it fits on the sandwich, a slice of tomato and alfalfa sprouts. It's not quite up to 300 cals, but that leaves room for a side dish or a snack like a caio bella blood orange bar =D…
  • You might try checking this site out... its the best BMI calculator I've found. The scale doesn't show the whole picture, and it can be really disheartening, I know. Other than that my advice is just to keep at it and be really careful of your sodium... I've lowered mine to 2,000 and I drink an extra 3 cups of water for…
