The only way I've managed to keep up with my water is to use Mio... most of the flavors don't have calories or anything else that shows up on my log, and one of those little bottles flavors a LOT of water!

I'm definitely on the Zumba wagon... I feel healthier when I'm doing it regularly, I laugh more and my weight-loss spikes bigtime. I've been doing it on the Wii at home because I didn't want to get laughed at (although I've heard that's rarely an issue) but as soon as we finish moving halfway across the country I plan to…

I use two different sizes of weights (although mine are lower LOL) but IMO more reps work better for building up than more weight. I started with 5s, couldn't do it so I went down to 3s... now I can do all but one exercise (the same one as you have trouble with) with my 5s and I'm considering bumping a couple up to 7s. I…

Welcome to the forums! I know you can do this. I'd be glad to support you on your journey! Feel free to add me! =D

Rum makes me tired. Whiskey makes me funny. Vodka makes me angry. Wine gives me headaches (even if it's white wine). Tequilla just makes me sick.

OK, just made it through the first page, but NO!!!! I am Bi... my best friend in the world is NOT AT ALL interested in even experimentation. Definitely false! It takes all kinds in this world, and anyone who wants to throw people into categories is just being lazy.

I claim my cleaning as exercise (if for no other reason than to have it noticed), but I have my settings adjusted accordingly. I put myself down as sedentary, and I log my walks and my cleaning and my yard work in addition to my 30DS and Zumba. That way on the weekends when I do nearly nothing (except CONSTANTLY remind my…

I had that problem for a while too, and still do sometimes on weekends.Try sticking a snack or two in there... I eat 5 meals and an evening snack, but they're not big... between that and exercising I can generally make my 1200... and if I'm still short at night I have some carb-smart ice cream! LOL

I don't think you're a sissy... I think I'm an idiot LOL I'll go back down to the 3s and work back up from there. Thank you for your advice! =D

Do you already have the monitor? LOL I did something similar, and I mounted my 32" flatscreen TV "monitor" (bought used) on the wall... helps with eyestrain if it's a little further away... hehe =D

That's great! I need a haircut like that... hehe =D

I use my protein and fiber 'goals' as minimum targets, so I'd say you're good there. It's not tragic to go over sodium if you drink a TON of water to help wash it away, otherwise you'll end up gaining water weight. I've heard that cucumbers help with sodium overages too... I don't know, because I just plain love cucumbers…

I weigh in once a week... any more than that and I'd lose my mind. As for sweet treats, I either find alternatives (Coke Zero instead of regular coke) or I just pre-log my desert and build my day around it. As for self control, I find it a lot easier to keep myself in line when I can look at my ticker and see lost…

I've had more desert since I started counting calories than I have in years! It probably wasn't the desert. There are a lot of factors that could have made that happen that other people have listed. Here's my advice (things I've learned when I did almost the same exact thing LOL) 1) Weigh yourself at the same time (morning…

Is this weight loss you are seeking, is it a diet or whole new lifestyle change? If so, what's the difference to you and why do you think so (if you say lifestyle change or diet)? If you say lifestyle change, what are you doing differently--that distinguishes this weigh loss effort from a diet? Lastly, what is a lifestyle…

My goal for March is to lose at least 10 lbs... that's half-way to my goal of being at 200 by May 1, at which point I plan to do something just for ME! 3/1: 219.8 3/7: 218.5 (Not the two pounds I wanted but a loss is a loss! I'll do better next week! =D) 3/14: 216.3 (That's more like it!) 3/21: 3/27:

My husband uses forearm crutches to walk... I haven't managed to get him set up on here yet (a mother/wife/secretary's work is never done LOL) but I am working on it! May I add you to my friends list so that I can find you again when his profile is set up? I hope you say yes! Have a blessed rest of your day! =D

Just to point out a few flaws in the logic here... I am addicted to nicotine. My husband and children doesn't suffer for it, my friends don't suffer for it ... same goes for my exercise. When someone elects to put in extra hours of training rather than deal with social crap, it can be the equivalent of walking away from an…

Yep! If we have a particularly... enthusiastic, long term romp I totally count it! The daily stuff not so much. But when I get a workout, you bet I count it! (I list it under calisthenics LOL) =D

I would probably wear it once for each type of hunting/fishing trip, to get an approximation... then I'd just guestimate from there. I don't have a HRM yet, but when I do that's one of the things I wanted to appease my curiosity about. =D
-
I just started it today too! And yes, it totally kicked my butt. That's what we're here for, right? I'm sure it will get easier as we go. Just keep at it! We can do this!! =D PS~ Feel free to friend me if you want! I'm big on encouraging my friends =D

In my experience, tanning does reduce their visibility, but you're always going to know they're there.

I want to be somewhere between 2 and 3 =D

You're not just being sensitive. Comments like that hurt! But here are a couple of things to consider... 1) I have a friend who told me lately she'd lost a lot of weight... she was finally in 14s! After about an hour of conversation I broke down and asked what size she started at... 22s. I'd NEVER seen her weight. I'd only…

Thanks for the advice guys... I didn't really want to go behind his back, but this is gonna be a hellofa conversation )= Oh well... this is for ME. I know I have to stop putting myself aside for hubby and kids so much, it's just hard to break the habit. I WILL talk to him, and hopefully y'all will be seeing C25K on my…

The most I've ever weighed (5'5") is 396lbs... my goal weight is 140 =D
-
First of all, I'd like to tell you how wonderful your progress has been so far! Now to answer your question... I'm 5'5" and where I felt best was between 127 and 132... my frame is a little more stout than most... at that time I was in a size 6 and it stretched across my hip bones in the front. I would personally recommend…

Go to the member's profile and to the right of their picture there will be a "VIEW DIARY" button if it's open =D

Mine's open, goal around 1200 cals... but when I exercise I eat back at least part of that, sometimes most of it if I'm really REALLY hungry that day! LOL
