  • ^^This! I have been guilty of getting over excited about all of the above (wedding, pregnancy, and weightloss) causing much annoyance and grief to my friends. It's possible that she may feel a little jealous, but it's more likely that she wants to talk about something else.
  • ^^ This! Continue to make healthy food for you and your family, splurge a little once in a while, but don't expect everyone to change their habits just so you're not tempted to go off plan. If you're committed to your health, you will succeed. :)
  • If you know the actors if would help a lot. But I can think of a couple. Many have said "What Dreams May Come", which is about Robin Williams dying, and then trying to find his wife in the afterlife because she committed suicide. There's "The Family Man" with Nicholas Cage who gets to experience an alternate reality where…
  • I'm too short to feel comfortable on an elliptical. It may be low impact, but it's not a natural movement for me. I'm starting to really love the treadmill, with an incline for my Couch-to-the-5K workouts. :)
  • Love both, Own both, Watch both (Trek Movies at least) All The Time. So I don't know if I could pick between Kirk or Han. I'd have them both, if I could. :p But if we're just talking about Favorite Sc-Fi, which includes time travel and magic(s)... I'd have to say Army of Darkness, all the way!
  • My name is Bethany, I've recently become a Stay at Home Mom, which does not allow a whole lot of time for gaming to my chagrin. I'm 32, female, and I use my X-Box more now for Pause-n-Go games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fable, and Hitman. But I still miss my WoW days of logging hours at my PC. I played WOW for years,…
  • I haven't made an progress either for at least 6 months, but I haven't been trying either. There has been a lot of 'celebrating' as we've been traveling for my husbands job. And then as soon as we get home, it's off to visit family that we haven't seen in almost a year. So I won't be back home and back to normal until…
  • Noelle - My husband needed to come here for work for a few months, and since I stay at home with our daughter now, we both came along. Angela- That is very kind, but I don't know if I want to ship any more 'food products' internationally. :)
  • I love CardioTrainer! I have it on my Droid Eris. It's great to use in combination with the C25K Lite app. I still use my Polar HRM for the calories burned, but I love the GPS feature. I really like seeing my max speed and my total distance, AND having my route mapped out for me. It'll even post your workout to FB if you…
  • I guess one of the reasons I wanted to look into these were because they apparently track sleep habits. I haven't been sleeping well, I still have a bit of sleep apnea, and a 1yr old... What do you think of the sleep information?
  • I've found that the Nature Made brand are easier on my stomach. Try those. :)
  • I'm down 3.4 total. Which is not what I expected when I started this month. I'm going to have to step up the exercise, drink more water and really watch my sodium. Arg! I have 3 weeks and 1 day before I leave to Hawaii for Christmas. I hope I can lose (at least) 6 more LB's by then.
  • The moisture makes the pads stick to you better. I have the f6 also, but it only does that if my watch is too far away, or I'm in a funny position.
  • I agree with NikNok, it's usually because of all the sodium that is in the entrees. My husband have a regular monthly/bi-monthly Date Night at one specific Irish Pub in town that does 'Brew Dinners' with local breweries. They create a 5-6 course meal with beers from the brewer all for about $40 a person. It's such fun, but…
  • Lost 1.7 this week. I wasn't sure how the scale was going to treat me since I was a little high on Sodium on Friday. So that makes 2.2 so far into the Challenge. :) I think I can do this! I agree with keironsmummy, you should weight in anyway. And if you don't want to look at the scale ask someone to tell you if you lost,…
  • I'll be your buddy. :)
  • That's why I bought a Phil&Teds backpack for Amelia (14 mos) to use in Singapore. We'll be there for 3-4 months while Daddy works. I'm sure to burn a TON of calories while walking around window shopping and site-seeing.
  • That's good Heidi! I'm going to heed your warning and work off the 400 extra calories of peach cobbler I had today. That's right! 1 and a HALF portions. :)
  • I'm down only .5 lbs this week, from 201 to 200.5. Yesterday it was close to .9 lbs, but I'm not sure how much sodium may have been in last nights dinner. I kept close to 1200 all week, and definitely ramped up the exercise. 368 minutes for last week! :) So maybe I gained a little muscle, or my TOM was sneakier than I…
  • Awesome! You will not regret it. :) My daughter just turned 1 and I still nurse her once a day. Everything I read said to add 300 calories to your intake when 100% breastfeeding. So that you have enough fuel to make milk. Also stay hydrated! That is key. Congrats on your little one. :)
  • My toes go numb after about 20 minutes. I think it's because the way you have to put more pressure on the balls of your feet when using the elliptical. Whereas when running you land on your heal or the flat of your foot.
  • Yes, I experienced the same thing after Amelia was born and she started weening herself from nursing. Also it can happen after you stop using birth control as well. It's just all the hair you 'didn't' shed while pregnant. Don't worry, you're not going to go bald. :)
  • Thank you, I was looking for some basic upperbody workouts to start out with. :)
  • Rose of Sharon - Killswitch Engage, makes me cry every time. & Singing in the Rain.... creeps me out still
  • Mix some Garlic and spices in and it makes a Great Burger! :) But yeah, you can use it for anything that you'd use Beef for.
  • Just made this today! It's delicious, but it definitely took a bloody long time to make. :) Who knew that peeling pumpkins was so hard?
  • This thread is Epic WIN! :) I also had to quit WoW because of my addiction and the commitment needed for raiding, since my daughter was born I just don't have that kind of time. I'm really tempted to sign back up when CATA comes out, but at the same time I've got plenty of console games to finish. Right now I'm working on…
  • Sounds like exactly what I'm craving right now. Can you link a recipe?
  • I'm in, but I'm aiming for at least 14lbs. :)
  • Which make and model of HRM do you have? Does it come with a chest strap? I have the Polar F6 with the chest strap and I find that it's pretty accurate. It bases my calorie burn off of my stats: age/weight/height and resting HR. Keep in mind that the more efficient your heart gets the harder it will be to burn calories…
