I use one at home as my desk chair. There are size charts online to help decide what size is best for your height. I sit on my cross legged and get a great core workout from it.

I have VFF Classics and Sport Trek's. I love them. I actually injured myself by running in sneakers after training in VFF. It is recommended to cut your mileage in about 1/3 if you are switchiing since you are using different muscles. Here is another source: www.runbare.com. Have fun!

I worked out through my whole pregnancy but I never had a HRM. Especially in the first trimester make sure to take it a bit easy. I just listened to my body and if something is uncomfortable, don't do it. Congrats and good luck.

I do find Firefox to better and safer. However, there are some web forms that only work with MSE. I keep MSE around as a backup in those instances, but use firefox or opera as my primary browser.

I also recommend this book. When I started barefoot running, I was in motion control shoes and was running about 25miles/week. I went down to racing flat and worked my feet up slowly to gain foot strength. When I started completely barefoot, I didn't wear shoes at all. This is recommended because your skin is more…

I have kept off the weight for 1.5 years. The trick for me was to keep logging and weighing myself at least 1 time per month to monitor how I am doing. I am often correcting and changing.

I have lost over 46lbs in the last 2 years and don't have saggy skin. Working out, keeping your skin moisturized and drinking lots of water will help. Goodk Luck.

Maturnity clothing stores will usually carry stuff like that.

I can't run on a treadmill for more than a few minutes. I always run outdoors.

Shiva Rae's "Dance Trance". It mixes yoga and dance to be a fun and energizing workout.

I have a running skirt I love. It has built in shorts underneath and is very comfortable. I have co-workers that love running skirts too. You are not alone. Great job for getting fit!

A "good" sports bra depends on your size. How much they cost depends on the support needed.

Incredible job. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Most of the weight from cheat days, for me at least, is water weight. I have been on matintenance for over a year and put on no more than 2lbs. I only weigh in 1 time per week, morning of my cheat day. I don't monitor any other time. When I went on maintenance, I weighed in 1 time per month and never had 'cheat' days. Hope…

I run completely barefoot and walk everywhere in Vibram FiveFinger Classics. I love it. It does take some time to get used to and you do have to build it up slowly to prevent injury. I did overtrain for a 1/2 marathon so I have been out of running right now until I can get better. But I find it so freeing. There are a lot…

I agree with increasing protein. If you are doing something like Ripped in 30 you need around 100g of protein a day for your muscles to repair themselves and rebuid. Try taking a walk in the evening before bed and have some lunch meat or a protein shake before bed. Our muscles try to repair while we sleep. One article I…

There are a lot of camps on both sides as to which is healthier. I like Truvia, but I can only have a little since it can have a slight sour taste to it. It is also natural (from a plant) rather processed (Splenda). I would suggest trying both and finding which works for you.

I would suggest, get to the goal of 160 and then decide. It is difficult to plan ahead sometimes.

You can do this Jen! I would suggest going to marathonrookie.com and reading up on things. The more you know, the less scary it becomes. Good Luck.

I am glad you liked them. They are a lot of fun, IMO. Everyone's adjustment is different to them, be careful and have a great time being 'free'. :)

I like Luna mini's but I have really enjoyed Kids Cliff bars more. I get them at Target or Trader Joe's. Those two places are the cheapest I can find them.

I have been reading a book called the "The Four Hour Body". You might be interested in checking it out.

Do you have a wall nearby? If so maybe you can do wall pushups.

The way I have done it was incorporating 3 different types of runs. Running Day 1. Slower than normal to make it through the whole time without stopping Running Day 2. Fast interval training. Try running for some distance at about 1min/mile faster than normal pace. Then recover for same amount of time. And cycle that.…

It is great you are putting so much effort into this for your kids. My only recommendation would be if you could put a basketball hoop near or on your home. That way if you don't have time for bikes maybe getting in some hoops after dinner.

The triathlons that i have done in the ocean, I have worn a wetsuit. It really increased my swimming endurance by quite a bit. It also me warmer so it was easier to start the bike ride. The time to get it off was a bit of a drag but the pro's outweighed the cons for transition times. If isn't cold or a short swim(1/2 mile…

Garmin is not known to have as good of a calorie calculation as Polar. However, I do know a lot of people that like it. The things that put me off about it was the fact it is a rechargeable batterie, so you can't just wear it as a watch. Also the chest strap isn't all that comfortable. You can't do any maintenance on it…

I don't like being indoors all that much. I have lost all my wait without once stepping into a gym. I bought a couple videos, a stability ball, and some free weights and walk, run, and bike outdoors.
