Take raw almonds with you to work. Healthy omega 3 oils and lots of calories. Put them in little zippy bags. Easy access at work.

I had a problem shedding the weight I had gained during the holidays, last year.. My husband said I was eating too much fruit and he was right. Fruit tends to get stored as fat so unless you are about to go work out and want it as energy, back off of the fruit for a while. I did a body reset. For two weeks I did not eat…

I want more than to just lose weight,I want to gain strength and be in top physical condition. My grandparents died young, old and weak. I want my future grandchildren to say "wow! Yep,that's my granny" as I finish my umpteenth marathon or cross the finish line of my latest Spartan race.

If you have trouble running with out stopping try slowing down just a teeny, tiny bit. Also tell yourself you WILL run with out stopping this time and do it! The mind soooo much stronger than the body and sometime that is what it takes to accomplish something hard. Good luck!!! Running is awesome! Happy running!

First congratulations on losing 28 pounds!! Awesome! I would suggest that you really try to cut back on carbohydrates in the form of breads, pasta and cereal. Start tracking your sugar intake. You might find you are eating a lot more than you realize. Add more veggies and eat more protein. You are not getting enough. BTW,I…

If you do this, and it is recommended by experienced, certified, weight loss and exercise coaches, the person having trouble with the plateau will get past it. It works!! I am doing this myself and my plateau immediately broke. Disagree if you want to but it still works.

Well, do NOT eat any LESS than 1300 calories,do not eat junk food, keep proteins up to 50%,veggies 35%,fat about 15%. Do NOT skip meals!! It's necessary to keep your metabolism up. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. Cut WAY back on fruit. Eat the an apple or the equivalent once a day ONLY. If you are trying to lose weight,…

How is the program going for everyone now? I'm interested in getting it.

Don't stress! You'll be ok. And don't weight yourself during your cycle. Wait at least 2 days after it's over. You HAVE to get in at the very least 1200 calories. If you don't you can endanger your health. Count your calories, drink lots of water, exercise and eat real food.

Awesome! Woop! Woop!

Pretty awesome Miguel!! I know it feels great to see all the progress you have made. You look like a different person. Somewhere on here I have my before and after pictures. I'm just disagreeing with you....I'm following the book and eating plan for Paleo for Athletes. I have the book. And I'm not frustrated. I'm having a wonderful success with it. It does not discourage extreme cardio but in fact says the paleo way of eating increases athletic ability. You did say it takes out the complex…

Not true. There are plenty of complex carbs you can eat and still be on paleo. Sweet potatoes for one. All veggies are complex carbs. Most fruit are complex carbs.

Thanks! I will!

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Congratulations! Great intro! I thought it was going to be some skinny guy that had put on a bunch of muscle!!!

Oh,how fun!!!! I want to do a zombie run! Do couch to 5k. Great program. But 5 months is a long time to train for a 5k. You might want to consider signing up for another 5k before that one. They are a lot of fun. Here is the link to the program. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

Try a morning run and don't worry about who sees you. Just listen to your music and enjoy the run. Lighter shoes are better. Try not to run with a heel strike. It will lead to shin pain and knee pain. Don't push too hard too soon or go too far before you're ready. And be careful of cars. They ofter do not see runners. Warm…
