I'm curious to hear how you did on The Body Reset Diet. I am not a believer in diets, but I really like his nutrition info--nothing wacky about it, lots of good info and lots of recipes. I also like that it's short-term and helps you plan for "real life." Today was day 1 for me. The red smoothie was delicious. The green…

Gardening, reading, crossword/logic puzzles, photography. How about digital scrapbooking? Lego building? (Adult fans of Legos make some pretty incredible creations.)

Find what you love to do and do it. Try new things--maybe you will discover something you didn't know you'd love! I try different classes at the Y, and I love Piloxing and Kettlebell. Zumba is my least favorite (although it's probably the most popular class), and I go if I need to. I also love Body Pump, kickboxing,…

I use my HRM. When I use the elliptical and my HRM tells the machine my heart rate, the machine still comes in at least 50% higher in calories burned than what my HRM says. If you don't have one, I'd underestimate MFP and machine values. Better to be safe, in my opinion. Plus, ask yourself if it REALLY felt like you burned…

Looking forward to trying this recipe. Sounds great.

Try cooking them different ways. One of my favorite ways is to roast them, 425 F for 25 to 35 minutes, or until tender. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season if you want to. Try chunks of sweet potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, parsnips, green peppers, onions. Asparagus is also divine roasted. You can also roast…

I am on a similar journey.

I'm not too far away in Meriden.

Love Actually. A few days before Christmas I invite some girlfriends over and we watch it together. I also love It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story. Classics. Sounds like I need to see Elf.

Thank you for sharing, very inspiring! I am running my first 5K Thursday (Thanksgiving). I am very slow, but it's all good!
-
I was just going to post something similar! My first 5K is Thursday morning. Kind of spur of the moment, wasn't planning to run one until spring, but what the heck. I'm nervous, but the worst that can happen is I finish last. At least I'll have finished!! Good luck!!

I was going to do it but found I didn't need to. I have been exercising a lot at the Y since January, and sometimes have been asked to run as part of a workout such as for bootcamp. I ran what I could and walked the rest. I never pushed myself to run farther. I joined a weight loss challenge in September, and our team…

I love my kettlebell class. It's my hardest class, but it's worth it. I also have sort of started to enjoy running.

Congrats on your amazing success. Thank you for sharing, you are an inspiration.

For a different raw veggie, slice up a jicama if you haven't already tried it. The Laughing Cow cheeses are great as others have mentioned. I have one wedge spread over three rice cakes. Love the cinnamon one that way. Haven't tried the strawberry yet. I love all the different flavors of hummus. My current favorite is…

The PUR water filter removes a lot more than the Brita, including some industrial and agricultural contaminants.

I just entered this into the data base, and I get different results from what was originally posted. For the entire recipe (three lettuce wraps), I got: 340 calories 4 carbs 13 g fat 43 g protein 2 g sugar 417 mg sodium I used a reduced-sodium soy sauce, and I used a kitchen scale to weigh the chicken. Each wrap is small,…

Made this tonight for supper. Definitely easy, fast and delicious. Definitely will make again and again!

Went to my first Piloxing class this morning. Loved it! Looking forward to when it's on the schedule at the Y in a couple of weeks. Instructors are still being trained.

I hope to do the Warrior Dash (New England) next year, won't be ready in June for this year. I look forward to hearing about how much fun it was!

I also call it a splurge day rather than a cheat day. I try to plan ahead for the splurges, and by calling it a splurge, I don't feel guilty. I enjoy it, recognize it for what it is and move on.

Thanks for sharing! Your transformation is awesome and inspirational, and you look fantastic!

That is great! Celebrating our NSVs is so important!

Awesome job. Congrats!!!

I can totally see a difference. You are doing AWESOME!! I look forward to reaching the 65 pounds down mark.

I will need to try these. I liked her chocolate chip cookie dough dip and 3-ingredient chocolate bars. The bars are really, really good. Ingredients are coconut oil, agave and unsweetened cocoa powder.

You look amazing! What an inspiration. I have a long way to go and appreciate people sharing before and after pictures--it's so motivating!

I've done well with WW in the past, but I found it was too much about food. I was always thinking about food. What was I going to eat? How many points was this? I love MFP for helping to free me of thinking about food all the time. I'm exercising regularly at the Y and have found myself participating in some awesome…

Wow, great job! I did day 1 yesterday but didn't do it today because I had a boot camp class. Totally inspired to fit it into my workout schedule!

I have a Shaklee Cinch shake every day. I use the Vanilla or Chocolate and add a cup of frozen fruit to either and blend. I also sometimes add half a banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter and a few ice cubes and blend. Yum.
