  • I find for me, if i find myself waking up not hungry in the morning more than a few mornings in a row that I am either maintaining my weight or gaining, When I am actually eating at a deficit, I wake up feeling like I haven't eaten in weeks, eat breakfast, and the rest of the day is easier.. . I am always hungriest in the…
  • What do you have your fitbit on that it says 1700? Like do you have it set to lose 2 ibs a week and MFP set to say lose one pound a week? That might be where your confusion is coming from.
  • I think I actually read an article in the news this morning that said getting adequate calcium and potassium helped aid weight loss. I'm pretty sure milk has calcium and is good for your bones too. Yes it has calories, but so does everything. It's certainly better for your body than downing a diet coke.
  • Makes sense to me. Most people base their ideas about sugar on whatever they already believe and then look for supporting evidence for that, much like people and religions.
  • "Oh, wow, now that you mention it, I was thinking the same thing about you, but didn't want to say anything because I feared I would hurt your feelings"
  • I just looked at your profile. So you are twenty, a healthy weight, and just want to lose five pounds? Quit eating at a deficit then, eat at maintenance and exercise more. It won't be quick. Weight loss when you don't have much to lose will not be quick, You want to change your composition, not lose weight. So what you…
  • Knit, read, go for a walk, play games on my iPad, remind myself over and over that it's temporary and won't kill me. Also, making sure you get enough proteins and fats helps stave off hunger, and water.
  • If you are doing this once a week, are you sure you're eating enough during the week? If you find yourself frequently binging, you need to find the cause and fix that. Do NOT starve yourself or try to make up for it. One day off won't kill you, just get on track with the rest of the day and work on trying to figure out why…
  • Dr oz is promoting a different diet pill/supplement every month. Ask your regular doctor if this could help you. Dr oz is the same fellow who tells people not to eat foods with ingredients they can't pronounce and then tells them to go buy a diet pill they definitely can't pronounce. I don't trust him for this reason.…
  • http://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/find-help-support You don't necessarily need money to get help. But that is something you want real, trained, qualified help with. (Random people on the internet may not be the best people to get advice about this from)
  • Leave her alone and find something you can enjoy on your own. Being pushed into exercising will make a woman feel insecure, and if she's anything like me, it means she will dig her heels in, never do it, and eat more. Once she sees you losing weight, she may want to join, but do not ever suggest she should unless you would…
  • Eat a salad with a homemade salad dressing of olive oil and red wine vinegar and whatever spices you want, 130 calories for two tablespoons and the salad next to nothing calories depending on what you put in it. But it's high on nutrition and high in fat and no or low carb depending on what you eat in the salad. I live off…
  • If it's just a bite, no. I don't add it.. I doubt the calories from one bite of anything are enough to make a huge difference.
  • I know I may get crucified for this, but MFP isn't always right about your calorie needs. I have to eat under what they suggest or I am not going to lose. If I eat what they say I need for maintenance, I gain. I am not sedentary, I am just not the average person. It's an estimation of the average person at that weight,…
  • You won't retain water from that. But there are a few medical conditions that cause excessive thirst, so if you are that much thirstier than everyone else it might be worth getting checked out by a doctor.
  • Yes it is a factor. You need less calories as you get older, and you also tend to move less than you did when you were younger. It's not an excuse and it can be done, but it takes me longer to lose now than it did five years ago.
  • Water, green tea (not a pill, the tea), extra fiber, and extra protein in your diet.
  • They may just be trying to tell you they love you no matter your size. You don't need to tell anybody you are on a diet. I never told anyone and did fine. Just. Said no when someone offered me food that would not fit my calorie allowance for the day. The only person who can sabotage your diet is YOU.
  • I lost the weight and gained some back when I couldn't run everyday and didn't adjust my calories accordingly, it's not that much weigh gain, but it put me in a larger size and now I don't have any clothes that fit. I literally need to lose it to get back in my clothes. It's not hanging into skinny clothes, it's the only…
  • To fit back into my clothes, and feel more confident.
  • They taste like the slimfast ones, but I quit drinking them. They are convenient, but they have so much sugar they would spike my blood sugar and I would end up hungry not too long after drinking one. Now I usually grab almonds if I'm too busy to eat or something easy to carry around like that.
  • I don't understand. But I can overeat on salad hahaha. Keep trying different ones until you find some you like.
  • I LOVE that!!! Well without pickles haha
  • Probably not a huge deal unless you live off of it. But one thing to remember is that it dehydrates you and you need to drink extra water to compensate, Being dehydrated while trying to lose weight will make it much much harder. It's easy to mistake thirst for hunger, so If I'm trying to lose, I try to avoid anything that…
  • Try to figure out what triggered it and avoid that trigger in the future. And don't beat yourself up over it too much. I have a friend that I text when I feel like eating things I know would be way over and he reminds me why I am watching my calories, doesn't work for everyone, but having someone I can talk to definitely…
  • One part red wine vinegar Three parts olive oil Garlic, pepper, red pepper, chili powder, paprika. Or honestly whatever spices I feel like at the time. The only two that consistently make it in there are garlic and pepper. The rest change from time to time.
  • The flex is really accurate for me. And you can change it in the settings, they won't be spot on the same there might be a 50ish calorie difference in what they say you need,
  • Sushi Or Turkish delight.
