Just go to Hampton Beach and work on killing your skin slowly like the rest of us ;]

I only agree with everyone else because I hate the sand kicking up into my shoes. If it weren't for THAT, I would always advise picking the harder option!

You can eat after 8. I'd pick a food that lasts for the night into your sleep though. Cottage cheese is a very good choice.

I have a ridiculous spreadsheet. My other MFPals think I'm weird/crazy because of it. I just consider myself to be an analytical person who is moved by statistics

I live particularly close to the border, not that it counts haha

Have you looked at Glucosamine/Chondroidin? It's an over-the-counter supplement that I know many people take to support their joints. I always looked at the people I knew who took it and honestly didn't believe that it was something that could help me out and felt like they were just feeling the effects of a placebo.…

Protein powders: Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Whey - Strawberry Banana -- yummmm -- I've tried some of their other stuff and so far this one is my favorite (vanilla made me want to vomit after a while) Bsn's Syntha-6 Mochaccino -- This is what I'm currently taking and it's, by far, the tastiest protein I've ever had.…

it's probably the sodium, your body could have been holding onto more water weight. This past week I changed up my meal plan and my sodium intake was less than 1000mg and I dropped more weight than I thought was possible in a single week.

Find a good strength training routine, they're all over the place but depending on your goals I would recommend different sites. Stick with this routine for several weeks until you feel like you must change it up (I do this every couple of months). Gradually increase the weight, because lifting should almost always be…

So true. I'd also like to add that when you wake up your body is fairly dehydrated and nutrient-deprived. So eating breakfast can be beneficial, especially if you're a bodybuilder of some sort. I pretty much never eat cereal, however. It's early and I can't bring myself to get behind the science as to what breakfast does…

I think some people replying are a bit confused with what Dr. Oz was trying to convey to his audience... Butt fat is MUCH more difficult to get rid of than belly fat. It takes time. I didn't see the episode so I can't really agree/disagree with anything he said in this aspect. I'm currently on a restricted carb diet, none…

This is along the lines of what I was thinking. Except getting to know ANYONE in the gym as they are working seems to be impossible since it's always perceived as "this person is being a creep" (in all ways taken literally or otherwise). There are other times where I feel like the person at the station next to me is…

Every person stores fat differently, so don't sweat it. Start taking pictures every month as well as measurements as frequent as you please. I used to take measurements everyday but now I just take them when I am either curious or think something may have changed. Here's where I've lost inches -- total of 20 lbs. lost (all…

So many single people on here! Single ... maybe if I get my teeth whiter? Everyone loves a person with white teeth.

Sleep is so VERY important in this process!

It's actually the artificial sweeteners in the diet soda, it basically shuts out feelings of satiety. (http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/02/080210183902.htm) As for the cancer things (as I've seen someone mentioning in here), there has been no credible evidence that the ingredients in diet soda cause. Basically,…

I track my calories in MFP so I have an IDEA how many calories I'm burning on a weekly basis. There's that and MFP makes a pretty chart for dumb visual learners like myself. I never eat my calories back though. Now that I'm planning my meals each day in advance, I don't really fear of "treating" myself for all of the hard…

I have the Polar FT7 and it is pretty nice. I've taken it with me to the gym and on sprint sessions for the past 3 sessions and it's been pretty good. It's very accurate, at least from my experiences, and reliable. The only thing I don't really like is having a strap around my chest but that seems to be unavoidable for…

Note to self.... "Girls who appreciate a good creepers hangout at Taco Bell." Keep 'em coming!

Additional note to self: "If girl responds in any way other than positive -- creep on a different girl" Thanks for the advice, Deedsie!

Finally!

Note to self: "Women appreciate getting creeped on. Must find creative ways to be more creepy." Thanks for the info, will add to my man-database for future reference.

Yeah, this summed up my long essay into a couple short sentences. I second this completely.

I didn't read anything past the 1st page so don't attack me, MFP! There's no shame in going out and exercising. When I go to the gym, the only time I ever look at someone in a negative light would be for one of the following reasons: a) They look ridiculous -- I was at the gym yesterday and I saw a gentleman walk around…

I'm going to go with this as the most effective way to get her back on track. Many people posting here don't realize how different education is now compared to the way it was 5, 10, 20 years ago. Being bored in classes because you aren't being challenged is hardly an excuse anymore; systems have been put in place to avoid…
