  • I actually started MFP after I turned 40. I weighed the most I ever had in my life. It took me about 9 months but I lost enough to reach my goal weight. I am just in maintenance now, and I still exercise 5-6 days a week and count my calories!
  • I hit a plateau and bumped mine up about 200 calories. It took a little time (and I felt like I was cheating :) but I started losing again. Today I reached my goal. Now I need to decide whether to go into maintenance or try to lose a little more. :)
  • I eat one dark chocolate Ghirardelli square (with sea salt caramel) a day. I just automatically include it in MYP journal in the mornings usually. It is like 60 or so calories for one...and so worth it to me! Oh, I like them chilled to so it takes me a little longer to eat it. I keep my bag in the freezer. :)
  • I wonder if you are eating enough calories? What does MFP recommend for you, calorie wise? I know your body can and will go into "starvation" mode if you aren't eating enough calories, holding onto any weight it can.
  • I have been doing it a few weeks now. It is quite a workout. I will admit, I do it every other day, doing aerobics or walking or my elliptical on the "off" days. I haven't lost a ton of weight but I can feel a difference in my muscles.
  • I am 5 foot 2 and my goal is 128. I still have a ways to go but I have lost 13 so I am not complaining. :)
  • I eat what I want throughout the week, staying below my calorie range. For instance, I have a dark chocolate/caramel Ghirardelli square daily. I just count it in my calories. So I don't feel deprived. I do have a cheat day a week. I have found that it is more like a cheat meal. I usually eat light for two meals but may…
  • Thank you so much for the suggestions. I always eat a handful of pistachios coupled with something like granola bar or something similar. I used to love cereal too but I don't want to eat ll of my calories for breakfast. :)
  • I am having my first one tomorrow. There is a chocolate fest fundraiser...I have always wanted to go. I sure don't want to count calories (not that I plan on going totally crazy; I will be bringing home a lot for family). I have decided one day a week is okay. I am more worried about my body thinking I am in starvation…
