I have Celiac disease but I am not scared as some people are.. I am gluten free but don't go overboard by buying all the flours, and products that are out there... I keep my gluten free foods separate and seem to do well using my methods.. When I was diagnosed, I did buy the flours and made my own stuff. Now there are so…

I have "The Cake Doctor bakes Gluten free" these are cakes, cookies, brownies, etc.. Recipes use a gluten free cake mix and then add things from there.. It saves a bit of money from not buying all the flours separately.. I have made a few and "non" gluten free people couldn't tell the difference!! buy it online..

Congratulations for being on here and getting healthy for YOU!!! My husband really needs to lost weight.. He travels for his job and says it is so hard to eat on the road.. All restaurants have a protein and veggies... He would rather have a burger, fries and beer.. So I am eating healthy for myself and try to cook better…

I have to agree that we are all stuck on the numbers... I have been back on MFP for a month now and my numbers are not changing but my body is... I am going to refrain from weighing myself--will be hard--- until I feel like I have reached where I want to be... I know I am losing but I have just finished a 30 day arm…

I did get a breadmaker and occasionally make a rye bread.. But it seemed like the ingredients to make all the breads added up to a lot of expense and the bread didn't freeze well...

Most of the gluten free foods were bad in 2007 when I was diagnosed.. Now, they are better and a larger variety to choose from...But they are expensive....so I try to only get the foods that I really need and let the cakes, cookies, etc stay on the store shelf.....

I have always been aware of my weight since I was a teenager.. One way I learned was to have only one serving of bread, cake, cookies, etc each day.... I did very well at limiting them... Now that I am older and have gone thru menopause and have Celiac, I had gained a few pounds.. I do very well at limiting the bad foods…

congratulations on both.. You don't have to put all your weight back on while pregnant.. This is a great time to be pregnant because in the summer, you will be able to eat lots of fruits and veggies.. I only gained 22 pounds with my daughter and I watched what I ate,,,My sister gained 60 pounds and I knew I didn't want to…

I don't buy all the flours anymore.. I just have brown and white rice flours to make my own general flour mix... But will try Betty Crocker one....
-
I recently bought a cook book "THE CAKE DOCTOR BAKES GLUTEN FREE".. The recipes use the gluten free cake mixes as a base....cakes, cookies, bundts and bars......great idea.... then you don't have to buy all the flours.. and we know the cake mix is good....

I am also Celiac.. I don't make a lot of my own foods since I can find them in the local store.. I like Udi's or Glutino products. I find it is cheaper for me just to buy the breads and freeze it.. The flours are so expensive.. I do make my own Mock rye bread every now and then but it doesn't keep well.. I find that most…

I am surprised by the amount of weight gain by some people when they are pregnant. I gained 22 pounds with my baby and lost all but 3 before I left the hospital.... I did have some belly flab that I worked off after the ok from doctor.... So now many women gain 50 pounds???? I just ate the good stuff and "treated" myself…

I am 57......I kept my weight about the same for all my adult life.. Then slowly the weight kept coming on.. Every time I would go to the doctor, I would have gained 2 1/2 pounds.... She told me that menopause has a way of doing that and mostly every woman gains 15 pounds.. Well I had gained about 25..I told the doctor…
