have just finished my second week on walk, jog, run over 5K and shaved 6 mins off last week. Was tougher though but I think that was because it was hotter :tongue:

I am 48 and already my hips and knees are stiff - there is arthritis in my family. I have just joined a walk, jog run group where we do a minute walking, a minute jogging and 30 second sprint. We achieved 5k in 40 minutes on our first try and the aim is to reduce the time each week. It worked for me,

I am 5'9" and am aiming for 140 lbs, this is slightly heavier than when I was in my twenties but 3 kids and the start of the menopause make it a reasonable target for me. Would like to know how to calculate body fat though as feel this is a good approach to achieving a healthy weight.

Not much I can add except keep going, you do not lose if you stay the same weight for a week but you will lose if you quit :happy:
