What is the best way to retain muscle? @yarwell- I've wanted to buy protein shakes, I just can't afford it right now. My body weight when I last weighed was 195.

I'm not in college, but I do go to the gym. I'm in the 190s (not too sure where I'm at) and I'm 5'4 I mentioned that I struggled with reaching my limits. My mom just happens to buy a lot of the low fat stuff. I go to the gym 3x a week. I have a 5min warm up on a bike, then I lift for 45 mins to an hour.

I'm having trouble with macros, honestly. I know it's per pound of LBM, but I don't know how to do it in regards to percentage. I have 101lbs of lbm, but I don't know how to put that in the macros. Oh, okay I get it . @iron- I'm not so focused on the scale number, as I am body fat percentage. Will I continue to lose body fat if I follow this paired with TDEE?

I've been lifting for a while (but inconsistently, unfortunately). Lately, I've been limited to upper body, do to a lower body injury, which I'm okay with. I do everything except squats and leg press. I also eat at a deficit.

I'm kind of confused at what you mean...If I added fat? And I didn't know my diary was closed. My BMR is around 1700 and my TDEE is 2600 so my -20% is around 2100, but I made my limit to be 1800. I'll open it up (if I can figure out how)

I do c: I eat breakfast, wait for around 2 or 3 hours and at like 10:30, I'll have a healthy snack, like a banana or nuts or something on my way to class. 2 or 3 more hours i have a snack, then I have lunch. then I'm good until dinner
