Feel free to add me, lacking on friends after a long time off the site.

Not who you asked, but mine just has a single setting for milk.

Xbox One here, also a big reader. I'm a fantasy lover in general, feel free to add if you want.

Today is Saturday Success, eh? Fitting that it marks four months since I stopped drinking finally. Went from about a fifth of liquor a day to four months sober. Now I'm just over a month of counting calories daily, as well, and a couple weeks back in this thread I'd abandoned for years, even if I'm not very active.

Mine kind of come and go, but a month of IF has made them basically a non-issue. They're easy to ignore the vast majority of the time and I've found there's often kind of a peak that I hit, and once I've willed my way through that peak it subsides quite a bit. If they get to be too much, I just eat earlier. I do get…

Oh, yeah, it got all the great reviews, it's just taking me some time to get into it. As I said, I'm a Bioware guy, so I'm really missing that world and the companions. It took me two tries to get into Witcher II, it'll happen. It might get put on the backburner for some more Dragon Age if it doesn't grab me soon, then…

Ditto. Estimate the meat, carbs, and veggies, plus any sauces I see. I usually add an entry for a tablespoon or two of olive oil and/or butter, too, because you know they use a ton of that.

I didn't say its primary purpose was calorie restriction, just that it's a method for it. Reducing the amount of time you can eat quite often results in eating less, so generally fewer calories.
-
Bagel thins would be a good option, too, if you want pizza bagels. One plain one is 110 calories.
-
It's just a method for calorie restriction, like the majority of other methods.

Xbox One here. Love me some Bioware and Skyrim. Currently trying to get into Witcher III, but it hasn't really grabbed me yet. I just got this Xbox, so I have a lot of games to catch up on. Thankfully, GWG has let me accumulate quite the backlog for free. Just finished Peaky Blinders, the fourth season was so good! Made up…

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dill are the biggies for me. If I have green onions on hand, I'll mince up the white of one and mix it in, as well. Just play around and see what tastes good. You could also use ranch dressing seasoning mix or other premixed seasonings.

One great thing to do if you're a volume eater is to make dip with it for veggies. Cut up a few veggies, mix some herbs and spices in a cup of plain Greek yogurt, and pig out. So much volume. So much protein. So few calories.

Happy Monday, everyone! Check-in: Got a new scale and ate out twice in the past three days. The scale is just two pounds higher, so I'm taking that as a success. The last time I lost weight, often my weight would cycle on a weekly basis, anyway. Not too worried as long as I end up down overall by the end of the week. I've…

They aren't the same ingredients. Different hams and cheeses have different amounts of calories. Different sizes of eggs have different amounts of calories. You don't know how much of each one they're putting in, which affects the calories. You don't know what oils and butters they're using, which, again, affects the…

I've heard good things about SMART recovery if AA isn't for you and you want an IRL option. There's also just one-on-one therapy. I quit in October and didn't join any IRL groups, no slip-ups or anything on my end. If you really want to quit, find something to help you along. I went to the ER and left with some…

As others said, I put it in my yogurt. Greek yogurt plus PB2 equals lots of protein for not a lot of calories.

Goal for this week I hope to hit my protein goal better now that I've got my calorie window and restriction down. I noticed yesterday that my protein has been pretty low, so that needs to be fixed. Picked up some vanilla Greek yogurt, PB2 with a little chocolate in it, and granola with fruit and nuts to mix up. A full…

@happygirlxxx I have one big meal, then snacks to round out my calorie goal. Currently planning what to have for supper. I'm the only one home and I've been a good boy all week, so considering a restaurant meal. ^.^
-
@happygirlxxx My issue is that once I start eating for the day, it's very difficult to stop, so my attempts at eating throughout the day while counting have generally been failures or miserable. I just drink water throughout the day(some say a little coffee, broth, tea, diet soda up to like 50 cals is okay, but most avoid…

Yep, my window starts at 4pm, but I can easily wait until dinnertime. Then get to get that one big one, then munch to goal. It's great when you finally figure out how to work your brain.

I've been in this thread before and fell off the wagon. Now I'm back with more to lose and more determination. Down 15 since Christmas with a lot more to lose, and have been getting more serious over the past week. I've been counting calories and have started using an under desk cycle while gaming and watching videos. I'm…

28, off T for now but was on it for two years roughly. Temp goal to lose 100 lbs. Nice to see other guys! Mostly just doing CICO and intermittent fasting, with more veggies.

Source? There are plenty of people who lose and are healthy on one large meal a day.

Depending on when the produce was added to the meal, it might actually be fresher than the "fresh" produce in your grocery store. Flash frozen veggies are much closer to fresh-picked than non-frozen ones. Plus you can get this stuff for really cheap, and if you're used to smaller portions then it's definitely enough food.…

That's an awful lot of writing for hard boiled eggs. I put them in the water with a bit of salt and wait until it boils. Once it boils, I turn off the heat and cover, then let it sit for ten minutes. Then I run cold water over them for a few minutes, and then peeling is easy. Why on earth did there need to be such a huge…

My personal favorite lean frozen meals are the Michelina Lean Gourmet ones. They're usually like a dollar apiece where I am, and they taste very good. When supplemented with another side, like bread, a meat, or a potato, for example, they're just like any other meal. Often, they don't even need a supplement.

Your body is going to digest the food no matter when you eat it. It isn't like your body says "oh, we ate a lot of food, ignore it while it goes through the digestive tract".
-
I'm a bit of a binger. I like being able to eat a whole lot of food all at once, so eating one small meal to tide me over until my one large meal works really well for me...once I can train my body to handle the schedule(as opposed to just binging every meal).

Which list? There are like seven different lists.
