Rio Grande Valley, McAllen area! Started MFP Jan 2012, lost 80 lbs. Starting again, hoping to lose those last 15 pounds. :-) Feel free to add me.

I've had my Polar FT4 for over a year, I love it! It's simple to use, counts calories and keeps a file of all your sessions.

I've tried 30DS (once in 2010 and again in 2012) and both times my knees started to pop and sometimes lock up (was doing the modified exercises). :(

As other posters mentioned it depends on their weight and intensity. From MY experience...running six miles in about 1 hour burns 680 - 900 depending on my speed and the heat. My max is 200/205. To each person his/her own... it's their goals not anybody else's.

YES! I can totally relate to the OP. I get this all sorts of comments, it's getting very old when several individuals say it EVERY TIME they see me. "You are getting too skinny" "Stop losing weight" "Skinny minnie" the list goes on.. I'm a size 10/12.

I can totally relate. January 2012, I felt the same way. I didn't set any goals for myself or obsessed over losing weight. I just wanted to feel good and run faster! :) My numbers were in a healthy range, I was light on my feet. Running helped me have more energy and release stress. Sometimes I feel I was more confident in…

I haven't completed a half marathon yet! I am determined to complete one this year, at least under 2.5 hrs. I run 6 miles 2-3 times a week and Zumba twice a week. I've done many 5Ks and have completed two official 10Ks (the ones I can afford). My BMI is in the overweight range, I'd like to lose 5-10 more pounds to be on…

Wow! Thanks for that! I've gained some pounds... hoping it's water and retention .... errr. :(

Powdered peanut butter and apple slides are doing it for me right now! A variety of mixed melon (honey dew, watermelon, cantaloupe) Ice Fruit Bars (the ones that are about 30-40 calories each) Freeze your favourite yogurt

Cheese Puffs Cheese - I LOVE CHEESE Peanut Butter Hot Boneless Wings and Beer...

I couldn't find PB2 where I live but I found Just Great Stuff organic powdered PB... I LOVE IT. I want more. I have a feeling this won't last me more than 2 weeks. So far I like it as a post-workout snack with apples. : )

I only use mayo for chicken salad or tuna salad, that's it. Now I use Feta cheese crumbles or greek yogurt.

I've always loved fashion, mixing and matching sweaters and would always wear dresses on those days where putting on pants and a blouse was too much effort. At a size 22 not many would notice, but now I get the reaction "wow, now you dress up", I'm like??? :| My style hasn't change. Guys actually notice me. :o :) I feel…

So then what happens when daylight savings kicks in.... *PANIC* X_X

People who incorrectly pronounce words that begin with "sh" and "ch". For example, "shaine" instead of "CHain". I recently met someone who would pronounce "situation" as "si-chew-ation" and it would DRIVE ME NUTS. People who invade my personal space.

This thread came just as I served myself a tbsp of PB! I LOVE Peanut Butter. I just eat store brand, not that picky. Recently discovered almond butter, but expensive! I've been looking for this, I seem to find it anywhere locally or I'm not looking hard enough! Guilt free PB?

Once I get it I'm fine. It's about 3-4 days before when I'm constantly craving food. :-s

Joining too! I did it once two years ago (before MFP) and it helped ease my sweet tooth! It's creeping up again, this is what I need!
-
I personally *try* to eat at least 85-90% healthy calories. Lately, I've gone way over and exercise with about 50 to spare. :-s
-
I should try sweets (bread, candy, certain cereals, etc) again and only eat fruit. It's HARD. ! I did it once two years ago and my sweet tooth isn't as bad anymore.

2 pounds on maintenance mode.

I love my Heart Rate Monitor, highly recommend Polar FT4, does the job and pretty accurate. Keeps me motivated, especially on days when I feel like stopping mid run. I can see how much I've burned and it keeps me motivated to keep going.

It's been quite a challenge since Halloween. I was at 176 at the beginning of December, and got the stomach flu and in bed for about a day and half. It really took a toll on my body, lost some endurance and 3 pounds. :-\ Took me about a week and half to get full energy back. Didn't gain the weight back and noticed I lost a…

Had a nice 6 mile run out... it's finally cooling down!!

I try not to think about it too much. My motivation is to have endurance while running. I like to participate in various community events to keep myself working towards my goals (30 min 5k or 10k in one hour). Eating clean has been my challenge for the last two months... I need to get back on it. Been loosing but slowly.

Good thing a lot of people wear earbuds/headphones at the gym. The gym I go to is constantly being fogged with air freshners... I think I rather smell farts than choke on strong air freshners LOL

Thanks for the responses! Took two rest days in a row and I'm stretching a lot, laying on the floor felt so good last night. Love when my cat walks all over my back at night, I wish I could train her to do it all the time.

Places like Bed, Bath & Beyond have various scales on display! :)
