100% agree, I did think it sounded a bit dramatic - my family and friends are still number 1, its just food/weight seems to be 1.5 - which on the grand scheme of things is still a bit too demanding for my comfort levels! :-/

OOAF! 100% respect to you all for those comments. Thank you. My head was starting to spin with it all for a moment then....all very valid and useful points! I think this weekend I'm going to pre plan/log and try save a few cals to try and just enjoy (within reason) Theres loads of events/days I think "Il just enjoy this"…

This is how I feel - other than I never thought what I'd eat that day - I just didnt think...now even when I've concentrated on being balanced....I still dont like eating because theres and endless web of equations to work out the impact first!

If your eating a lot less than 1500 your body will hold on to what its got thinking you wont feed it again - especially if your overly hungry. Have you looked at your portion size/preperation of food - theres lots of places for calories and additional fats to hide.

Fab - thanks, I'l be giving some of them a look - I agree with the Lorraine Pascal book - lots of nice ideas - and not too damaging with little tweaks :D
-
Ah - well thats a relief - thanks gents!

I swear by newbalance running shoes - i've not had a foot/knee/ankle issue since i started using them. Its likely the nail will fall off or stay bruised until it grows out - depends how many layers the damage has gone through. In general, its always best to warm up - even if that involves a walk to fast/power walk to start…
-
No only the work out - otherwise where would it stop - each time you walked to the toilet you could log it...but do you? For the small amount of warm up/cool down its nice to have a bit extra without it impacting on apetite ect on your weekly reading

From what I've seen on here, some people say rude things for the sake of it/just to cause an argument. Private messages are the best way to send things if you want to be supportive. Surely theres never really a time for a horrible message - thats the whole point of the website "myfitnessPAL" not bully!

I used to drink strong black coffee like a life line, first think in the morning through to the end of work, then I would get home feel drained then think about bed, about 4 month ago without trying I randomly went off coffee altogether. Now I can barely taste it let alone drink it, I do have more energy, a blurry headache…

I do the same thing - its time consuming but helps to have a 'second opinion' and decide from there...on occassion by the time I've worked things out I'm less interested in having snacks. I have always calorie counted and drive myself insain with it, I Joined slimming world for new ideas so for me "eat as much as you want"…
-
this sounds amazing - how do you find out about whats involved - is there a website?

Friday weigh ins keep me motivated over the weekend - most likely to snack time! I also use clothes to guide me rather than measuring... ie that top I'd love to fit and those jeans I never want to fit in again an make sure they do or dont fit accordingly.

If your getting married why are you still thinking in the mind set of yours and mine...what point do you become an "ours"? if you pay the gas and she pays the tv licence does that mean one of you is warm an the other is entertained? If you want to do something nice for someone else - it shouldnt be about returns. I'm sure…
