  • 6w3d today! Due late October. We saw the heartbeat today (I'm in the care of an RE so I have a lot of early appointments). I can't really workout right now though because of spotting I had last week. So I'm hoping not to gain too much weight :/
  • I like Map My Run. It was free too!
  • I would suggest seeing a reproductive endocrinologist (RE)instead of an ob/gyn. They are far better equipped to deal with issues like this. I have multiple fertility issues and seeing an RE was a godsend. My gyn had no clue! Best of luck to you.
  • Okay so I walked in here, thin, petite, not curvy, no big boobs, and love make-up as a hobby. Thanks for the real "pick-me up!" My husband is a "real" man who loves me (and my body) and doesn't give a crap if I wear make-up or don't. I do it for me because it is fun. I enjoy matching my lipstick to my outfit or trying…
  • I've gotten comments both about being bigger and being thinner, all of which have been awkward and some really hurtful. 1. I had put on a few lbs and a woman came up to me at work and GRABBED my stomach fat and yelled "oh my god are you pregnant!!" I was mortified. She said it so loud that everyone up and down the cubicles…
  • This is the first post I have seen about a trainer that I actually think the trainer knows what s/he is talking about! His plan sounds sustainable and healthy. I expected to come in here and see some sort of unhealthy nonsense.
  • I'm 5'0" and weigh about 112 currently. I wear a size 2 in pants but sometimes a 4 depending on the store/style. I wear a small or extra small in shirts. I started at 134 and had gotten up to a size 8 bordering on 10. I was a little less than 112 for a bit but I still wore a 2 and extra small.
  • Yes, and this also means you should be eating back most of your exercise calories on top of the 1340.
  • NO. It is not enough (in my opinion) Here's the deal, at least this is my experience. I am 5'0" currently around 112. I started at 134 and my lowest weight was 106. I gained a bit due to some medical problems (I'm totally fine for now at 112). I started at 1200 calories with working out a LOT. I lost some weight but…
  • 5'0 SW: 134 GW: 105-110 CW: 115 (ish) LW: 106 My weight fluctuates a lot between 105-115. At this point I don't really care what the number on the scale says as long as my clothes fit right and I like what I see in the mirror. And for the record I usually eat somewhere between 1500-1700 calories a day. I used to work out…
  • To the person that said PCOS is now real, wow, maybe do some medical research. Spend some time on infertility message boards! I personally do not have PCOS but other fertility issues, so I know a lot of people who have it. It can cause women to never be able to have children (and a multitude of other health issues). It is…
  • Who DOES that?! I would never dream of giving someone s*** over what they ate/drank! If someone did that to me, I'd laugh and say see ya later <delete>. Good on you for being honest in your diary. I'm usually honest but once in a while I skip logging. For example I went out last weekend and partied like I NEVER get to do…
  • Absolutely. I cook dinner every single night and I make double and bring the leftovers to work for lunch. I also cook my breakfast every single day. The only snacks I really eat are greek yogurt and sometimes fruit or like half an avocado. I allow myself take-out sushi once a week. I tend to eat a lot of meat and…
  • Mmm fat!! Avocado, olive oil, coconut oil, animal fats! DELICIOUS!
  • Oh boy, another short thread... I'm 5'0". SW: 134 CW: 110 LW: 106 Goal is to maintain/build muscle. I started at 1200 for about 5 months. I lost about 15 lbs, hit a major plateau. Then I upped it to 1500 and started losing again. I got down to 106 (over another 4-5 months) but then had surgery and some health issues and…
  • http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ No you do not have to eat less than 1200 a day even though you are short. I am 5'0" and about 110 and I eat around 1600-1800 a day. I started at 1200, lost some weight, plateaued, bumped it to 1500, lost even MORE weight and now I am trying to maintain/tone up so I am eating a…
  • My gw is around 105. I started at 134, got down to 106 and am back to 110. Anything below 110 has been really hard for me to stay at. I'm not really as concerned about a number at this point, I'd just like to look less "squishy." I'm small but still have a bit of a belly and some jiggly thighs going on.
  • Thank you. I appreciate it. I'm back to tracking and although my foods I chose stayed "healthy" I know my portions were a bit off. Someone who says "hormones are just an excuse" maybe needs to try them and then repeat that crap. I took something that made me barely able to get out of bed and go to work let alone go work…
  • And one more thing. I'm 5'0' and weigh approx. 110-115 lbs (I was down to 106 and pretty toned), started at 134 on MFP over a year ago. So yeah, I'm NOT THE PROBLEM YOU F***** horrible human being. The hormones are to help my uterus because of the surgery.
  • That's hilarious. I have Ashermans Syndrome. Scar tissue in my uterus that was caused by having D&Cs. I had surgery to repair it and now I am going through treatments to try and get pregnant. Not that that is ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS but the problem isn't me. I'm not overweight, nor am I too skinny either. I eat quite healthy…
  • It is April Fools day today.
  • It's APRIL FOOLS DAY PEOPLE! For the love of god this is a joke. There are about 15 different "cat" threads posted up today on the boards. I'm certain that it is a joke. I'm sure OP will deny it and say the are serious, blah blah blah but I am like 99.9% sure this is a joke. Look at the tone of it too. I mean come on.
  • I'm 5'0". I started losing on 1200+ exercise calories (after a brief stint not eating them back). Then I upped it to 1500 and continued to lose. I went from 134 to 106. OP just because you're short does not mean you have to eat a ton less than taller people.
  • I also think this is stupid. I'm really tired of the whole "short women need to eat less blah blah blah." I'm 5'0" and 33 years old. I started MFP at 134 and got down to 106. I started at 1200 and did lose some weight (but eating back exercise calories after I realized netting really low wasn't cutting it) and then bumped…
  • A phone call or visit to your primary doctor might not be a bad idea. I'd get that checked out just in case. Better safe than sorry!
  • Agreed. This is the method I use.
  • You're kind of right. Since I am maintaining and have a pretty good grasp as to what is in the food I eat, I do skip logging some days. For example this weekend, I had takeout on Friday and knew I went over. I try to average that in to what I log during the week. I'm more strict during my work week. Also my heart rate…

  • I agree with the above. Your body needs vital nutrients and 850 is not getting those nutrients. You need them to function physically and mentally. Putting aside all weight loss advice, that is just about your health. I try not to judge or tell people what THEY should do and I tend to think what works for one person won't…
  • You can certainly friend me. I'll try and take a look at your diary when I get a second (I'm on my lunch break and am so overwhelmed by all the wonderful responses).
