  • I started out with 106 pounds to lose and am down 22 so far. Feel free to add me...I can use all the support I can get.
  • Bump so I can read this thread later and realize how ignorant some people are. Here...mom of 4 kids, in-home daycare of many more over the years
  • I haven't been active on MFP for months. So, I am back from weighing more than what I left off at. Here is my update though I will weigh again on Monday. Weighed 7-22-13 SW 236 Jan 23, 2012 LW 213.5 CW 214 Total lost thus far: 22 pounds GW 130
  • I love curves!
  • I worked out today which makes 3 days this week. I have been away most of the summer since middle of May, but now that vacations are over and school is getting ready to start, I am now working back in. I plan to go back on my keytag the second week of August when I can start going again 5 days a week. So far, however, I…
  • Hope to read the rest later...but I am a mom of 4 (all 4 C-sections). My oldest is 11 and my youngest just turned 5. I have been overweight most of my life and was 211 pounds before I got pregnant with my first (at 5'5"). I am now 214 pounds (down from 236) and still working. My stomach drives me crazy and some of these…
  • Feel free to add me also. I am just getting back on here after piddling around for the past 18 months. I need to lose 84 pounds. When I started out, I had 106 to lose so I am down some!
  • I have what I think are beautiful, hazel eyes...in fact, I think they are Heavenly as they are very unique in how they are ringed with all different colors from blue to green to brown to gold with flecks also in them. Hence my username. I was also tired of using my initials or my name in everything!
  • I have been a member of Curves since September 2012 and average 5 times a week. I don't do the Zumba circuit, but feel that I need to do more than just my daily Curves circuit. Not sure what to add, but am back to tracking food and hoping I lose some that I have gained since October.
  • Too much food...especially sugary and processed foods. Also, too little exercise...but I am changing that and am almost 40 pounds down in 6 months! Woo hoo!
  • Question - do you have to have the FlowLink in order to transfer data to the computer? Or does the FT4 or FT7 have some sort of other way to transfer data? Just trying to figure out how much it would cost to get one and be able to log it all on MFP. Thanks!
  • I started it and did it for 2 days. I was miserably sore for 2 days after that, even. However, life got in the way with the end of school, crafts I had to get done for gifts, etc. so I had to stop doing it. I haven't had time to do any workout in a couple weeks. However, on Tuesday, I will start it again. I want to do as…
  • Only to the knee...and I am really bad in that I only shave maybe once a month. Can't stand shaving...tried waxing a month or so ago, but didn't like that either. No relationship with hubby so don't have to worry what he likes. And, frankly, I feel if people at the pool don't like what they see, then they need to stop…
  • Thanks for sharing this. It is just what I need as I have been in a slump the past month and I needed something to help push me a little harder. Today is my new beginning!
  • Great job making the first step. Just keep on that path and you will be where you want by September!
  • We took tons of time registering for just what we wanted and knew we would use. We ended up getting a ton of CRAP that we had not registered for (thanks to our cousins in BFE) and the stuff we did get off our registry, a lot of it was not everyday things. We did get our bedding, towels and kitchen utensils and everyday…
  • I gave myself permission to eat whatever I wanted today. I figure one day is not going to kill me....so enjoy it. After 6 weeks of Lent, I deserved it!!! So, I had an over day...600 calories almost 1.5 times my daily allowance...and I am just going to get over it and get back in the driver's seat tomorrow. Easter only…
  • Wow! You totally look like a different person! I am so amazed at before and after pics. Great job! Congrats on making it to your original goal and a healthy BMI. Can't wait to get there myself. You are truly an inspiration!
  • Just checked out the Bowflex...yikes on the price...but it looks cool!!!
  • Bumpity bump bump
  • Great job! You look amazing! Question...is that workout hard on the knees? I really want to try a Jillian workout, but I have to make sure there aren't a lot of lunges, squats, and other things that are hard on the knees as I have a really bad knee. Would love any suggestions as right now I am just doing Walk Away the…
  • Thanks for the great ideas. Ended up making the kids spaghetti since I wasn't hungry. So, I will use one of those tomorrow for lunch or dinner. Thanks!
  • Kennesaw here
  • Not the healthiest, but something that cures a sweets craving for me. Chocolate animal crackers with a dab of reduced fat peanut butter. Super yummy! Reminds me of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but way less fat, calories and sugar. 16 animal crackers has like 110 calories so you can have a bunch of them and still be within a…

  • My husband is like that. When we were dating, we kissed more often. However, he is not a great kisser. The person I sort of developed my "technique" with I was with for over 5 years. He was an amazing kisser!!! My husband doesn't seem to care about it much but I don't know if it is because I don't enjoy kissing him as much…
  • Here is a more scientific explanation. "Why Salt Causes Water Retention Our bodies rely on electrolytes, most significantly sodium and potassium, to carry the electrical impulses that control our bodily functions. In order for our bodies to function properly, it is important that the concentration of electrolytes in our…
  • That is water weight gain....you are retaining water to bring your body into balance with the salt. Osmosis. So, your body is holding on to the water (hence water weight) since you have too much sodium in your body. It is trying to balance your sodium/potassium balance. *If I remember this correctly from biology 20+ years…
