  • Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am a Ranch dressing nutcase and I use fat free varieties - that make up the taste lack with sugar and high fructose corn syrup - fewer calories, but all bad calories. I'm going to check out the Walden dressings. Sounds wonderful!! :flowerforyou:
  • I see that "gottagetitoff" had a vastly different calorie than I did, so I guess you have to make you best estimate. I got my data at http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-burned-shoveling-snow-a170 so you might just google "Snow Shoveling" and see what you can find. Good Luck. TAD+
  • Hi. I live in Southern Illinois and I had to shovel a whole four inches of snow today, so I smooped on the internet and learned that for a 150 pound man, shoveling snow is moderate exercise and burns calories at the rate of 408 per hour. So I kept it up for an hour. Pretty good for a 70 year old!

  • Wish :ohwell: I could go to TGIF - they do have great food. But we live about 65 miles away from the nearest large urban area and have to use what we're given. What counts most of all, though, is the support from my wife and my church friends. Peace.
  • That's a fantastic idea. Normally my wife and I share a meal - especially when it is a "red meat" meal of any kind. Thanks.
  • I just joined in yesterday - Bad move since I went to Applebee's for dinner and ate the Shrimp Brocoli Fetucinni Alfredo Bowl (!,644 calories) - about 85% of my daily allowance at one shot. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing some good results by keeping a good diary and seeing what others are doing.
