  • LOVE IT! But I always buy the Hot 'n' Spicy... It does have a lot of sodium in it, so if you're watching that closely it's probably not a great sub for real veggies. I've tried the Low-Sodium and it is just bad! It makes the best bloody marys!
  • Thanks! Like I said, poor planning - I didn't go grocery shopping, so I got oatmeal from Starbucks... now I know better! I'll be back on track tomorrow :)

  • I absolutely LOVE my Circulon anodized aluminum set! It's non-stick without having to have the non-stick coating. I bought the ones that have a SS bottom so I can use my induction burner, but they make them without, too. They're VERY similar to Calphalon but without the hefty price tag. Ordered online from Chef's (or…
  • Danskin from Walmart - I love the one that ZIPS up the front! I have trouble with any bras that you have to pull up over your head, and most of the more expensive brands make you do so to get them on/off. I'm a 38C, so I need the support for Zumba!!
  • Wow - just wow. Congratulations!
  • General - beginning guitar from Jake Owens "8 Second Ride" a couple close friends have "Double Nickle" by Peter Frampton text is a bell, other notifications are just standard Samsung fare
  • Thankfully, I don't eat any of them - the candy coating cuts my gums! The cherry and the coconut ones sound so good, though! I used to love the mint ones...
  • I use the EAS Vanilla Whey Protein from Sam's Club - it mixes really easily into almond milk, and makes a really good smoothie.
  • Angela from Antioch here...
  • First thing that came to mind was garlic hummus! Discovered it's really good with cucumber slices...
  • peanut butter and honey sandwiches - on VERY lightly toasted whole-grain bread
  • I counted out 10 - it was just the right amount for my 2T of hummus, and just the right amount of crunch to satisfy a craving. Writing things down keeps me from overeating - I have to be honest with myself if I'm going to succeed. You're right - there were a "few" more calories, but I actually needed them to make my 1200.
  • I agree with mkath4 - once you've started meds and have the right levels, your BMR should be the same as if you had normal thyroid function.
  • Goodness! I just realized I didn't introduce myself!! :embarassed: My name is Angela and I'm 52 years old and hoping to drop 38 pounds.
  • ZUMBA! 'nuff said...
  • Hi everyone, I'm Angela and I'm a 52 year old widow that just decided to try the GF lifestyle after reading some articles by William Davis, M.D. - the author of Wheat Belly. I have been exercising on a regular basis (3-5 x/week) at Zumba Fitness since last April, and although I've toned up, my weight remains the same. I'm…
  • I've had mine for about a month - it came with my Xbox/Kinect. I just hooked up with MFP last week. I'm a computer addict, so I'm MUCH more likely to log my food and exercise online than I am to write it down in a diary like Weight Watchers does. The fitbit works pretty seamlessly with MFP, as long as you remember to ONLY…

  • My "it" is my neck - I had oral cancer 18 years ago and it involved a radical neck dissection and I have some awful scarring, as well as caved-in... Just when I start feeling a little self-confidence again, someone will out of the blue ask "what happened to you?" I find it terribly rude for a perfect stranger to ask me to…
  • Thanks, April! Right now, I'm using SavingDinner.com's Menu Mailer - her Body Clutter menu is great, and there are GF instructions for all recipes - I've been a subscriber for years, and love her! I'm going to stick with her for a while until I get the hang of it, then will probably try to branch out and try some baking…
  • I've actually never been diagnosed as being wheat-sensitive, but I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and pre-diabetes, as well as having arthritis on my knees and in a couple vertebrae. The articles I've read claim that a GF, or wheat-free diet can help with fibro as well as getting diabetes under control... I'm at my…
  • Thanks, Dawna! Nice to meet someone who's been on the journey for a while - with the gluten-free, that is. Having to watch what your daughter eats while not being celiac yourself has to be hard. I'm sure I'm going to have a bit of trouble adjusting, but I have a good menu plan and with the support I find here I'm confident…
