Gemi and I were talking about this on our feed. Ive been sleeping like a bear. I went from 1200 to 1400 and then 1600 and felt my energy go up with each increase (no weight loss though) . When I went to 1800 I really felt a jolt of energy and wanted to devour my food all of a sudden I was hungry like I hadnt been before it…

Ok first to make sure people dont jump on me for this I just want to say I have met funny confident atttractive active large people HOWEVER.... I think more things change than lost kilos when a person loses a lot of weight. Many become more confident, outgoing, smile more at people, want to do active fun things. Confidence…

You look lean already and your weight loss goal is small. You may be better off with a very small deficit and take the time to lose that last small amount. If you haven't calculated your BMR and TDEE do that and then just go maybe 5% below your TDEE always staying above your BMR . (I go 15-20% below my TDEE but I have 100…

Height 170cm (5 6") Current 128.8 pounds (58 Kilos) BMI 20 (A BMI of 20 to 25 is considered healthy for your height) Goal 115 pounds (52 kilos) BMI 18 (A BMI of 19 for your height is considered to be underweight) Your maintenance calories for your current weight and height (age not sure) is well over 2000 calories even…

Stop guessing what you need calories wise, it just leads to frustration and time lost while you experiment. Calculate what you Basic Metabolic Rate is. Thats how much your body burns in calories just to keep organ, brain, function at homeostasis. So your BMR is what you would burn if you were in a coma. You always want to…

Really low calorie diets can trigger symptons too not just certain foods. When I was at 1200 calories a day I started getting gallbladder attacks. My quality food intake was the healthiest it had ever been. I went up to 1500 and they stopped. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000273.htm "The following also…

Lets make a pact Moogs. If someone ever starts one up in Oz no matter what state it is in lets go do it!

Save money and volunteer as a zombie and you get a free race thrown in and and a kick *kitten* zombie tshirt.

Wish they had something like that in Oz. I would so do it. If I ever head for the US I will plan my trip so I can do one.

Just existing, breathing, maintening healthy organ function, brain activity, sustaining the lean muscle mass takes energy that we measure in calories burnt. Thats refered to as our Basic Metabolic Rate. (BMR). Its the number of calories we burn up if we just lay in bed all day and didnt move. Then add on to our BMR…

@ wightrose I spent about 2 months on the Isle of Wight one spring about 15 years ago (wow can't believe that much time has past). Such a beautiful place. We are around the same weight and age although I am 5 5' . Good luck working towards your new healthy eating plan.

There have been a number of peer reviewed studies. My main reason is not for weight loss but brain health. I have copied and pasted the info below from another earlier post on coconut oil. Coconut oil is high calories which helps me meet my calorie goals but it is reputed to help with weight loss due to being a medium…

Wow really 1 ounce? Thats depressing when I think about me just starting up weights now, but a little funny when I read all those posts from women not wanting to weight train cause they think they will wake up the next day muscle bound. 1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams 1000 grams make a kilo 35 weeks roughly to gain a kilo of…

I use sungods brand. Its a good quality oil I think capsules are a bit of a ripoff. I buy the organic virgin oil in a jar and measure it out using a tablspoon measure. I just use it as a dressing on whatever I eat. Usually salad as I have raw food every day. If I did a stir fry I would jst mix it in after cooking.

So she took the time to delete him from facebook during a family emergency? Its a break up.

I started to lose after going up calories to 1800 and eating exercise cal back. I know it sounds counter intuitive but my body really slows down the weight loss when I go below that. When I finally calculated my BMR it was 1755! So even if I spent the whole day in bed and never moved my body needs 1755 just to cover being…

Yeah I went up to 1800 and it got me past a stall. I was seeing no weight loss at 1500 (some weight loss at 1200 but I had health issues and knew I had to go higher than that.) and within a week of doing 1800 I dropped 3.3 pounds. I am playing around with even higher at 2090 at the moment but its only been a few days so I…
