I'm getting a hip replacement on 3/25 and hoping to drop another 10 pounds or so in the next 3 weeks to make recovery a little easier.

you can add me as a friend, but as you start this remember one thing, you can do this. Its not rocket science, its not magic. If you work hard and stick to it, you can do it! Stay positive, be patient with yourself and the results, and log in every day! Wishing you the best of luck!

I am a 44 year old guy, and due to osteoarthritis I am getting a hip replacement on March 25th! 3 years ago - I was running 5 miles every day after work. Now I can barely get in and out of my jeep :-) Would love to connect and share ideas on how to stay active and deal with a bad hip! I cannot 'friend request' anyone since…

So I drink most days (probably 350 days in 2021). Working from home the last year has made it worse on me and I have found myself 'needing' a drink in the evening instead of just wanting one. With that in mind I decided to take January off. I know its on the third but so far so good, this thread will help me keep on track!

I am currently planning to have both hips replaced (one at a time). I was told I will be home same day - and that I will be able to exercise as soon as they are healed correctly. I used to run 5 miles every day after work, now walking is a painful struggle. I plan on getting back to working out, and eventually running. My…

you can friend me if you want. I have osteoarthritis and at the age of 44 I am now planning double hip replacements. So I don't run anymore, even walking is no fun. But I still eat good, and exercise when I can. Someone once told me weight loss is 90% in the kitchen, and 10% exercise!

Feel free to add me as well! I've been on MFP for 9 years or so and have been able to maintain and really focus on health!

I am going to try drinking less. I have been in a habit since Covid started of having 6-8 rum and diet cokes a night, and I know that's not sustainable.
-
I am always looking for good supportive friends!

I often go down to 1200 cals a day for short periods of a week or two - but with where you are at I agree with the weight lifting suggestion
-
You should be at or under your calorie goal, that is the purpose. Sounds like your doing a great job. Keep it up!!

One of my favorites is grilled veggie kabobs for dinner. mushrooms, bell peppers, garlic, onions, and zucchini, rub with olive oil and salt and pepper and cook on the grill or in the oven.
