This is definitely the key! Heck I'm just starting over today and I'm hella happy I've drank half a gallon of water by lunch time lol. We have to have patience and enjoy the roller-coaster. It sucks but it's the truth, anything worth having in life it worth fighting for. Especially your health!

Your story is very similar to mine, I think we just have to keep trying until we find something that works, and when we finally get the determination that nothing will stop us, it'll happened. I took a long time to learn that nothing works until I'm ready and prepared for it to.

I am trying to lose around half my body weight as well, as of Monday I was 19 down. Hoping to drop another 20 by my birthday in December. Like others have said, it's hard, but if you're dedicated it can be done, and you're worth it. Feel free to add me if you'd like for encouragement/support.

I log butter and oil when cooking, but not Pam. I just don't feel like doing the math, and it's not that serious for 3-9 calories to me.

It sounds like you should talk to a professional about your binge eating. Online personal accounts from strangers won't really help you work through your own personal issues, even if it it just self control problems.

Seeing how this post originally started in December 2013 and you said as of today she's still gaining, she definitely knows. Either offer to help, i.e. work out with her, offer to help with any food changes/choices she may want to make as she did the first time, or, just let her be. If she did it once she can do it again.

As others have said you definitely can. I only walk right now and that along with the change in eating habits am seeing the benefits in health as well as weight loss.

I don't have an ultimate goal weight yet. My current goal weight is 200. I'm 5'9 and want to keep a fuller figure, but still have the option to shop where ever I please lol. If I reach that and feel the need for improvement, i'll probably try to do more strength/weight training to tone rather than solely for weight loss…
