  • I usually lose more the next week or two it seems. Slow the week of but after it usually makes up for it. If I stay on track that is. lol
  • Log everything! I know I was surprised at how much was actually going in my mouth before I did. Take it slow and steady and don't expect to do it all in a month. I don't go to the gym, I don't excersize everyday but try to occasionally. I have lost about 12 pounds in about 4 weeks. You can do it and just ask for support…
  • Its good with Pears or peaches also. You can cook with it, I put it in some recipes. The one that comes to mind is lasagna, but thats not real healthy

  • Right now I am trying a new recipe in my crock pot for split pea soup. Smells delicious. I haven't tasted it yet but this is it: Layer 1 lb dried split peas 2 cups diced ham 3 carrots diced 1 medium onion, diced 2 cloves garlic minced 1/2 tablespoon salt 1 tsp pepper 1 bay leaf 6-8 cups of water or chicken broth (I used 4…
  • When my Mother passed away from a heart attack it shook me up. I went to the doctor and had alot of tests run and everything was ok. But I was overweight and my Mother hadn't been. At that point I started thinking about it and doing the yoyo dieting thing. A few months ago when my Grandmother passed away my Aunt sent me a…
  • LOL I'm also doing a Biggest Loser challenge at work. It end the beginning of Nov. I try to eat anywhere from 1300 - 1700 calories a day depending on how hungry I am. And I just eat when I'm hungry. The first time I started I tried sticking to 1200 or less and was miserable. This seems to work alot better for me, however…
  • I can't think of a way to stop a chocolate craving without having chocolate. I'm interested to see what some ideas are as I'm a chocoholic. I usually just try to save a few calories for when this craving takes over.
  • I love Beef, Its just so high in calories. Mini wheats, great idea. Thanks for all of the other ideas too. I didn't know I should have Vitamin C as well. That might help alot. Thanks, any other ideas are welcome.

  • All day long I wanted to check my scale. LOL I just kept thinking about all the people who are doing this to and I stayed away. This is the first day I haven't weighed in in a very long time.
  • Good question, I would like to know as well. I always drain the fat, but still log it as it was. Not sure it would really make much difference, but I'm interested everyones thoughts.
  • I've tried a few diets in the past: Weight Watchers and Atkins were the last 2 I can think of. While on them I also did well but the weight came right back on when I stopped. This time I'm not on a diet, I'm eating healthier. I have been cooking my meals at home as often as possible. Eating more beans and veggies and…
  • Monday afternoon or evening I will post a topic called "Monday Weigh In". If someone would like to start it before I can get on here feel free. I look forward to sharing how our week went. Also feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. I always like having extra support. Have a Great Week everyone.
  • Awesome! Having a few people to weigh in with will hopefully help keep me off the scale the rest of the week. Anyone else have trouble only weighing in once a week? This morning I weighed in and had lost 1 pound. My weight was 196 and I have alot more to loose. What are your goals?
  • Punkmom will you let me know how you feel in a few days. After you have used it? I would love to hear good and bad.
  • Thanks for your input. They sound handy to have.
  • I have been thinking about getting one of these. Now after reading this I just bid on one on Ebay.
  • MFP obviously. PB2, in recipes is yummy Quinoa, I had never made this before. Its very filling and tasty. I've only made it once so far but we had a really good Veg salad. I know there are alot more but now I'm drawing a blank
  • Never mind, I found it. This will be so helpful
  • Ok one more question, Is there a way to see the entire list of excersizes without having to type something in? That would be so much easier to find things without having to figure out the correct wording.
