Get fitted professionally at a running store. They are trained to ascertain your stride and how you use your feet when you walk and run. You don't want to end up injured before you start. And quite often, if the fit isn't right, as long as there is no discernible wear and tear, they will allow you to exchange and will…

Hi! I don't like hockey but poutine is definitely a thing. Haven't had a drop of snow here yet this year. Go Victoria, BC!

Sadly thanks to the holiday season I am no longer at "Normal" weight but that will change soon.

Here are some of mine: - Drop sugar - Limit bread - Add more vegetables back into my diet - Opt for 1-2 fruits a day - Increase protein intake - Drink 2L-4L of water per day - Begin strength training - Strengthen core - Log all food (and if hard to measure, ballpark accordingly) - Run 3-4x/week using the C210K app until…

My goal for this month will be 50km. Getting back into shape after 5 weeks off so it will be a challenge but I think I can do it!

5'10.5" HW: 255-260lb. GW: 165-175lb. CW: 179lb.

Good luck. With eating well and moderate exercise, I only took off that amount in a 7-month period, not 3. Unless you have a huge amount to lose, you may want to rethink your goals.

I've heard amazing things about Higdon plans, too. Same with Jeff Galloway plans: http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/half-marathon-training/

1200 calories is sufficient for very few people. You need to consult a registered dietician/nutritionist and speak to them about your dietary needs for weight loss.

Not being cold. I used to be a snow bunny and now I hate winter because I can never manage to stay warm, even with layers upon layers on.

Not worry about the implications of what went into my body.

I'd spend it talking to my mom, grandmother, and husband.

^this.

- How maintenance is way f***ing harder than taking off the weight is - That loose skin can make you feel even more self-conscious - That sometimes you will marvel at how you look in the mirror, and sometimes you will see your original size, and that this is apparently normal...

Amazing work! You must be so proud of yourself!
-
It's 8oz, if I remember correctly.

Update!

Holy smokes, you're a rock star! You have probably given yourself 10-15 years of life back, and you look so different!!! So proud of you. Well done!

I'm not a lady, but I'm female! PCOS and have taken off 73lb.

^ THIS.

Weight loss isn't linear. I took off nearly 4lb. this week, but in the weeks prior I stayed the same (sometimes even went up!) Sometimes if it happens. If it's not a consistent thing, accept that it's probably just extra water weight coming off and move on.
-
You can add me! I'm 28 as well and have taken off 73lb. so far.
-
I'm 28 and have 85lb. to lose. I'm 72 down.
-
Can I report this for being so badass???
-
Look at that progress! Go for it, girl!!

I'd be happy to accept more friends who use MFP consistently. Please send me a line first, though... I tend not to accept random blank friend requests :D
-
Definitely can. 100%.

Add me too! RunningAgainstMyself on Nike+. Always looking for more friends.
